    Episode 84 - Ask a former Sex addict anything, It's a state of emergency! Aug 25, 2008
    Show notes

A need for truth in the midst of a reality of knowing the lies better. I grew up being taught and believing lies! Lies are where I feel safe. I believe lies! Even though I know if I get honest they are destroying everything! and One question I get asked a lot is this... Define Religion? Are you talking about the cold law based Religion of the Pharisees? And what does that have to do with sexual integrity? Episode 84
Music by Pillar - State of Emergency!
    It's a state of emergency
    It's time we see
There's a need to take action
This is a state of emergency
    We're too blind to see
    All of these simple distractions
All our attention is directed to the mirror
We want to forget that people live in terror
We're their only way out and the time is right now
We gotta grab a hold of this moment
How far do we let it go
    Before we all take control
    We are the hands
    We are the feet
    So we gotta go
    Stop waiting for someone else
    To take control
    (Take back the control)
We could be their last hope

    Episode 83 - Ask a former Sex Addict Anything! Aug 15, 2008

    > Time magazine reported, At the 2003 meeting of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers online porn contributing to more than half of divorces in the U.S. Richard Barry, president of the association said "Pornography had an almost nonexistent role in divorce just seven or eight years ago."

    > 70 percent of all internet porn traffic occurs during the 9-to-5 workday.

    > Today, More people are terminated from there Job for inappropriate web use then alcoholism.

    > The sex addict uses sex as a quick fix, or as a form of medication for anxiety, pain, loneliness, stress, or sleep. Sex addicts often refer to sex as their "pain reliever" or "tension reliever." In a popular novel, the heroine describes sex as "the thinking women's Valium."

Its time for a change! The Church historically as turned a blind eye to the fact of sexual misconduct. This Church is taking a stand!

Paul says to the Corinthians "It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans,"

This is now, today. This from the Barna report. "Born-again" Christians are more likely to go through a marital split than are non-Christians, according to a new study by the Barna Research Group.

Revelation 2:29 "Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches." (the message translation)

Have Christians today got good at making every thing look good on the surface?

Jesus said in Luke 4:16-19 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

Do we abide in that truth or merely believe it?

Episode 82 - The Full Armor of God – last show the stuff I missed. The New Young!? Why is there so many references to the “new life” or “new beginnings” in Christianity? Can’t anybody stick with it? What dose it really mean to be young, again?
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,

    "For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered."

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 6:37-40 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."

Episode 80 - the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit! Aug 11, 2008
Show notes EPH 6:17 and takethe helmet of salvation, andthe sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,
Lyrics: Linkin Park - Easier to Run
    It's easier to run
Replacing this pain with something numb
It's so much easier to go
Than face all this pain here all alone
    Something has been taken
    From deep inside of me
A secret I've kept locked away
    No one can ever see
Wounds so deep they never show
    They never go away
Like moving pictures in my head
For years and years they've played
If I could change I would
Take back the pain I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made I would
If I could take all the shame to the grave I would, Its easier to run!

Eph 6:19-20 (ESV) and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouthboldly to proclaimthe mystery of the gospel, 20for which Iam an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
Eph 6:19-20 (Message) And don't forget to pray for me. Pray that I'll know what to say and have the courage to say it at the right time, telling the mystery to one and all, the Message that I, jailbird preacher that I am, am responsible for getting out.

Episode79 - Armor of God - The shield of Faith Jul 17, 2008
    Show notes

The shield of Faith - I want to call your attention to this one piece of the armor carried by the blood bought. The shield that Paul had in mind here is not the small, round dish looking thing, but the oblong, door-like shield, measuring 4' x 2 ', curved to the shape of the body and carried by the Greek and Roman soldiers. When joined together, these large shields formed a wall behind which a body of troops could hide themselves from the rain of the enemy's missiles.

These military shields were made of wood, covered on the out side with thick leather, which not only deadened the shock of the missile, but protected the frame of the shield from the fire-tipped darts used in the artillery of the ancients.

Contrary to popular teaching, faith is not mental delusion, behavior replacement or presumption and it is not evidenced by self-bolstering surface sucess, but a work of the Holy Spirit from the inside out. Roots to fruits.
EPH 6:16 (KJV) "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked."
Rom 10:17 (NIV) Faith comes by hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
