Autism Facial Expressions The Fascinating Truth (You Want To Know) Feb 22, 2022
    Show notes

This is the interesting truth about autism facial expressions and the understanding of facial emotions. As autism impacts the communication part of the brain, there is no surprise that Autistc people have major issues with understanding and identifying peoples facial expressions. But it isn’t just identifying other peoples facial expressions it’s also knowing how to form the appropriate facial expression can be super difficult for autistic people to understand. There are a few reasons why this may be an issue. First off it is common for autistic people to not make eye contact which would cause a lack of visually looking at someone’s face. Another reason is that the communication issues that impact people on the autism spectrum can interfere with the way in which you track and observe emotions on peoples faces. Please leave a comment if you have anything to add, I read every single one. Also please follow @TheAspieWorld for more autism content.

3 Aspergers Girl Symptoms YOU Have Not Noticed Nov 25, 2021
    Show notes

Here are 3 super in testing Aspergers girl symptoms that you have not noticed before! Aspergers is currently 3 times less likely to be diagnosed in females than it is males, and there are a number of reasons for this 3.1 ratio. But regardless of the reason for the lack of females being diagnosed with autism as much as males with autism there are a number of traits that you can iconically pick out when researching and investigating if a person is autistic. I have laid out 3 of the most interesting traits of autism in girls that are usually overlooked. 1.Collecting Items Girls on the autism spectrum will be in most cases obsessive collectors of a certain thing, be it stuffed toys, books or a DVD collection of their favourite obsession topic. 2.Hoarding Object Relationship Women with autism usually have a habit of not being able to get rid of objects like shoes or certain clothes because of the relationship they have with the item, like the item seems to have a personality to them. 3.Not Emotionally Connected Girls with autism are more likely to not want to be hugged or have a Deep emotional connection as easily as neurotypical grils do. Can Autism And Allergies Be Related? Nov 24, 2021

Can Autism And Allergies Be Related? Autism and allergies have a common story, with almost every autistic person I know has allergies. Brillia https://www.discoverbrillia.com [CODE: ASPIE15 for 15% OFF!] For shipments to the UK please email info@discoverbrillia.com But is there a relationship between autism and allergies? Recently I have had an updated assessment for diagnostic criteria to have a more in-depth understanding of my autism and Co-occurring conditions. As an autistic person who suffers with aggravated eczema which is a skin allergy, it was noted that this was a common occurrence with people on the spectrum and was almost expected. This being said, it would be noted by the medial industry that allergies are related to autism and common in autistic people. Every summer and spring I have to take allergies relief medicine and it worries me a bit due to taking so many meds. I’d love to know your thoughts on this topic and I’d you have any allergies. Autism In The Media (Why I Was KICKED OFF THE CIRCLE😤) Nov 11, 2021
    Show notes

Autism in media has a long way to go - this is why I was kicked off TV! SIA VIDEO: https://youtu.be/YGul8R9ZmXU There is a history of issues with how autism is represented in the media from, film and movies to TV shows and reality TV shows. I was asked to audition of a reality TV show in 2019 as a chance to compete on a reality TV gaming show. The importance of what I would do on this show, was the ability to bring awareness from a daily living perspective under a reality TV show about autism and ADHD. This was my objective and mission of this process. The TV company at first seemed to understand and want to get on board with it, but then they turned it. Relight at the last second, 3 days before going onto the show they called and said they didn’t want me on the show. When I asked about this, they said they wanted to play it safe...? This was such a blow to my mission and everything I had been working towards. If you have any comments please pop it in the comments below as I read every one. This Is Why Girls With Autism Are ALWAYS Forgotten Nov 05, 2021
    Show notes

Why are girls with autism always forgotten about? Here is why! There is an odd occurrence that happens in regards to autism in girls. Autism is three times more likely to be diagnosed in meals and is females, this is a statistic that almost highlights that is Miss three times more common in males and is females. But this is just not the case autism in females is probably just as common but all of the diagnostic criteria is set up and was set up and founded on research based on males with the condition. Also autism diagnosis in females may be the last thing that a doctor will actually pursue when investigating behavioural traits in a female, usually they will go for personality disorders or generalised anxiety. Here are three reasons why females are probably forgotten about on the autism spectrum. 1.Old Data Most if not all of the data that was created on the research of autism to create the diagnostic criteria was based upon research of meals with autism spectrum conditions, this does not translate females. 2.Different Diagnostic criteria When diagnosing girls with autism, there will be different diagnostician criteria to consider that is different to that of males on the autism spectrum. 3.Masking Masking is where Autistc women will mask their issues and difficulties to try to fit in during social and public settings. If you have anything to add please pop it in a comment below, I read and respond to every comment. Follow @TheAspieWorld for more autism content.
