Hi, it’s Jillian Barberie and this is my podcast Ask Jillian. You might know me from Good Day LA or FOX NFL on Sunday, but I’m pretty sure it was Sharknado 4 where I was eaten alive! For years I was the one asking the questions on TV shows, radio interviews and Red Carpets but I’ve realized at this point in my life I’m the one that needs a lot of questions answered. I mean these last few years have been a doozy, at times I haven’t had a clue which way to go except simply forward. So I want to start on a journey with all of you. This is about having open and deep discussions with old friends and new ones about their lives, getting or even giving advice and having some laughs together. There will be celebs, experts in various fields and other very interesting characters from my life, we’re going to cover it all! I’ve never been known for playing it safe and I’m not starting now, no subject is off limits! Career. Marriage. Divorce.
Single Mom. Kids. Boyfriends (yeah I’ve got stories of some famous men). Adoption. Molestation. Finding my birth family. Makeup. Fashion. Design. Sex. Friendships. Cancer. My Truth! So let’s get started. Ask Jillian!

In this episode of Ask Jillian we talk about birthdays. I'm not always great about them but sometimes they can be a blast! We talk about the surprise parties we've been given. I've had some good ones like in Miami and disasters like the one I cancelled when everyone was on their way. Liz had a unique surprise one where everyone was in a costume and she didn’t know who they were! We tell some fun stories from our past and of friends and family that had birthdays go a little sideways. As well as how we appreciate social media alerts on Bday’s and how we can share in everyone's day. Plus the most obvious downside ... the planning!

We've also realized we need to celebrate each birthday to appreciate what we have, I felt very blessed this year!

In this episode of Ask Jillian we talk about social media. We take a quick look at the pros and cons as well as discuss what Ruby & Rocco think. I've always enjoyed it, starting with Twitter...it’s always been my go-to! We also talk about how you can find and build community. I did when I had my babies and when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It can be a fun escape, provide a much needed laugh and give you insight on many topics. There's also the downside - getting hacked, people being fake and whether or not to use spyware on your kids.

We don't get into all the issues but it's a start!
