This week on the podcast, Joel Madden is joined by Chase Atlantic vocalist/rhythm guitarist Christian Anthony. Based in Los Angeles, Chase Atlantic is an Australian alternative trio comprised of Anthony, lead vocalist/bassist Mitchel Cave, and lead guitarist Clinton Cave.

Channeling the sounds of Tame Impala and The Weeknd, the band has released three albums, with their most recent one being 2021's Beauty in Death. The group is currently one of AP's spring 2023 cover stars, where they discuss their explosive fandom, the new music they're currently working on and how Warped Tour taught them how to be in a band.

This week on the podcast, Joel Madden is joined by hardcore rappers Nascar Aloe and Myagi, the founder/curator behind the artist collective/record label DEATHPROOF INC.

After releasing his signature punk-inspired music on Soundcloud several years ago, Nascar Aloe made a name for himself in the underground rap scenes in Charlotte, North Carolina and LA, and developed a devout fanbase, drawn to his arresting sound, style, and energy. Most recently, the rapper dropped the single "BLXXDY NXSE" with Jasiah and Scarlxrd, but last year saw the release of his album AMERICAN WASTELAND on DEATHPROOF INC. — making his interview along with Myagi, a longtime collaborator, the perfect pairing. Together, they talk about their creative relationship, Nascar Aloe's early days in the industry, rapping about contemporary issues, and more.

From humble beginnings in the Phillipines, to Arizona, to LA, Eyedress has managed to stay clique agnostic, moving through the world authentically with his laidback skater vibe. He and Joel talk about the challenges of trying to get his music career off the ground as a teenager in Manila, how it took 10 years to “go viral” and surpassing his school age ambitions to work in Starbucks. The conversation comes at an opportune time, as Eyedress dropped the lo-fi punk mixtape COMMITTING CRIMES earlier this year and recently announced his signing to RCA records, along with the release of the Eddie Huang-directed music video for his latest single “Flowers & Chocolate.”
