📍Can a narcissist also be an empath? Narcissistic Abuse Recovery FAQ Feb 15, 2017

Join the QueenBeeing Universibee - the online learning and evolution center for narcissistic abuse survivors. You'll really thrive when you join this hive! Join up at http://vid.io/xcxV today! Can a narcissist also be an empath? Narcissistic Abuse Recovery FAQ According to psychologist Stephen Johnson, a narcissist is someone who has "buried his true self-expression in response to early injuries and replaced it with a highly developed, compensatory false self." And, according to Dr. Judith Orloff, empaths are "highly sensitive, finely tuned instruments when it comes to emotions. They feel everything, sometimes to an extreme, and are less apt to intellectualize feelings. Intuition is the filter through which they experience the world. Empaths are naturally giving, spiritually attuned, and good listeners. " With that in mind, why would anyone ask if a narcissist can also be an empath? Would an empath engage in gaslighting and manipulation? Would a sociopath try to take care of you? What is the psychology? And yet, shockingly, one of the questions I hear often is "Can a narcissist and an empath be the same person?" In this quick video, I'll answer that question - and I'll explain why.

Gray Rock Compilation: How to Deal With Narcissist Gaslighting and Manipulation Feb 11, 2017
    Show notes

Gray Rock C ompilation: How to Deal With Narcissist Gaslighting and Manipulation This is a compilation videos that includes three previously recorded videos by certified life coach Angela Atkinson at QueenBeeing. Each video is focused on the gray rock method - including a history of the method, who is thought to have given it the name "gray rock" and why, and how you can use it to deal with narcissists in your own life. What are the most important components of successfully using the Gray Rock Method? Rule number one when it comes to practicing the Gray Rock Method is to never tell the narcissist you're doing so. If you do, he'll definitely figure out a way to use it against you. Never ask questions of the narcissist and don't offer any "committal" responses - just say things like "hmm" or "mhmm" - keep it casual. If possible, discuss only "safe" topics, such as the news, social media - fashion, cooking, etc. Nothing that would be personal - even if the narc begs you for it. Drama free is the way to be! Try to be distracted during the conversation so that you don't have to directly look the narcissist in the eye the whole time. Make it something simple like doodling in a notebook or checking your text messages, or something more complicated such as knitting a scarf or working on a document for work. If you focus a bit more on your activity, you won't be as directly affected by the narcissist's attempts to manipulate you during the conversation. Most importantly during this practice, keep your head in the game and don't allow the narcissist to get inside your head. Narcs are expert "guilt-trippers" and have no qualms about making you "feel bad" so that you'll try to justify or defend your intentions - don't fall into the trap. Discover. Understand. Overcome. It's how smart people change their lives! Subscribe to my channel: vid.io/xoJJ In the Go Ask Angie series, I respond "off the cuff" to questions, comments and concerns sent to me by my YouTube viewers, readers from my QueenBeeing.com site and those who reach out in other ways, such as by email.
