The Jenterview: A Knives Out Mystery (with Ryan Houlihan) Jan 21, 2023

Show notes

Sarah awakens from a horrifying, melatonin induced nightmare, where she dreamt that Jen Shah wasn't fired by Bravo after literally bankrupting grandmas and grandpas all over the land. She realizes the best salve is AG therapy with a dream guest: Ryan Houlihan (journalist, drag performer, and Bravoholic). They discuss the-now cancelled Frost/Nixon/Shah/Cohen, a Jentervention for Heather and Meredith (and the ways nuance seems less important at times than prioritizing accountability with a smidge of rage), and the ways Miami is currently carrying the light (bouncing off of Larsa's feet). Barbra Streisand directed "The Mirror Has Two Faces," based on Dr. Nicole's couriered non-invitation - it's Andy's Girls, Episode 379!

Beta Blockers (with Richie Skye) Jan 17, 2023

Show notes

Sarah receives the results of her Myers-Briggs personality test, and discovers she's an EIMY (Extremely Into Miami Yes). Thrilled to know that her extroversion toward her fave franchise is tried and true, she Zooms up another fave: news and entertainment journalist and pop culture expert, Richie Skye. They discuss the perception of beta Housewives personalities as a potentially negative character trait (and the role of gender in using 'beta' as a pejorative), Karen and Charrisse's divide about supporting a friend in mourning as a potentially transactional exchange, whether or not Jen should have attended the Salt Lake reunion, and how Andy's remarks about Jen's future with Bravo intersect with an audience expectation around accountability. Sarah may not be able to answer whether or not Salt Lake is "worthy" of a visit, but this convo definitely is - it's Andy's Girls, Episode 378!

Cruel Intentions (with Daniel Stokes) Jan 14, 2023

Show notes

Sarah watches the Salt Lake City finale and realizes that the only thing editors left on the cutting room floor -- aside from Danna's moment in the sun -- is everything. The only way to get to the other side of this slog is to get through it, and who better to join her for this journey than Sarah's Bravoholic pal, Daniel Stokes (culture programs lead at Brex and cohost of the pod "Thots & Prayers"). They discuss the Salt Lake finale's High School Musical: The Musical energy, the lack of a voice of the audience when it's needed now more than ever before, what Jen's likely sit-down with Andy means for the network's confusing tone, and what reunion accountability could look like for Gizelle. This convo doesn't need the green eyed bandits, because the combo of Sarah and Daniel's laughs is the greatest alliance of all - it's Andy's Girls, Episode 377!

The Shahshank Redemption (with @BravoBravoDuckingBravo) Jan 10, 2023

Show notes

It's equal parts Hilling Journey and Frost/Nixon Shah/Cohen. Sarah reacts to all of the breaking news coming out of the Bravosphere--Andy's maybe going to Salt Lake! Rinna is "on pause!" Alex and Sarah's mother-in-law are coming on Girl's Trip! Heather's eye is looking for a spinoff!--by Zooming up one of her fave content creators, truth tellers, and gummy-imbibing Bravoholics, @BravoBravoDuckingBravo. They discuss the cognitive dissonance behind believing in Jen's courtroom repentance alone, the cost of possible closure with Andy's announced plans for a one-on-one, and Mia and Jacqueline's RHOC energy. Sarah may be turning the cloffice into psych 101-style courtroom TV, as long as Chris Manzo will be her stenographer - it's Andy's Girls, Episode 376!

I Watched What Happened Live: Inside Jen Shah's Sentencing (with Emily D. Baker) Jan 07, 2023

Show notes

Sarah decides to turn the People's People's Couch into the People's People's Court, and attends Jen Shah's sentencing in lower Manhattan. She shares her experience being in the courtroom where it happened with legal analyst, host of The Emily Show, internet sensation, and Bravoholic, Emily D. Baker. They unpack a translation of Jen's Shah's sentence inside and outside of the Bravo universe, Judge Stein's view of Jen's "scripted" tv character (and how closely that character seems aligned with the reams of evidence presented by the government), the continuing trauma felt by her thousands of victims (whose very vulnerabilities Jen belittled in court exhibits), the difference in how Coach Shah and Erika Jayne have been criticized (and possibly, why), and the ultimate cost of performative wealth on reality tv. Call it the Jentencing or IRL BravoCon - it's Andy's Girls, Episode 375!

The Object of My Affection (with Brian Moylan) Jan 03, 2023

Show notes

A new year hath begun, and who better to ring it in than a couple of dames. Sarah begins 2023 in child's pose (named after the emotional maturity of most Housewives) and limbers into the cloffice for a deep dive with her fave elected official: Founder and President of the Real Housewives Institute, and author of the New York Times bestseller "The Housewives: The Real Story of the Real Housewives," Dame Brian Moylan. They discuss the conditioning and placement of gender roles/norms within some Housewives marriages (and the impact of generational conditioning on Lenny and Lisa), the differences between Housewives escapism and aspiration, and the ways select cast members have taken "disingenuous" performance too far on Potomac and Salt Lake. Sarah immediately brought up PK as one of the best Househusbands around, in case you're wondering how well she's slept so far in 2023 - and it's Andy's Girls, Episode 374!

A Merry Jewish Screaming Match (with Kevin Fallon and Louis Peitzman) Dec 24, 2022

Show notes

Ho, ho, ho, how long to camp will Jen Shah go? Sarah celebrates the holidays the best way she knows how: with a down and dirty tussle about Whitney vs Heather featuring two of her fave writer girls: Kevin Fallon (senior entertainment editor at The Daily Beast and creator of Obsessed, a pop culture website) and Louis Peitzman (Housewives writer and culture commentator). They sit underneath a Zoom Hanukkah bush/Christmas tree, and discuss standout moments in 2022, the importance of Miami's work centering sisterhood in storyline, the impact of a potential Jen sit down supplement, and why the origin story between Tre vs. Melissa is unlikely to resolve.
