Penn State's Julian Fleming stars in the BEST NIL ad of the year | Can Dabo bring Clemson back? Jan 24, 2024

Show notes

(0:00-2:04) Intro - Harbaugh Watch Update

(2:05-15:45) Julian Fleming's New NIL Deal

(15:46-37:01) Grace Raynor Joins to Discuss Clemson, Dabo

(37:02-1:02:19) BamaOnline's Tim Watts Joins

(1:02:20-1:04:53) Conclusion - Dear Andy tomorrow! Email Questions to andystapleson3@gmail.com

Harbaugh Watch continues. Will it turn into HARBAUGHGEDDON?

While Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers (reportedly) discuss a job offer, we wait. Until we get clarity about whether Harbaugh will leave for the NFL, let’s talk college football and car commercials.

Julian Fleming, the receiver who just transferred to Penn State from Ohio State, stars in a classic car dealer commercial that is the best NIL deal ad of the year (so far).

Next, Grace Raynor of The Athletic to discuss her story examining the current state of Clemson under Dabo Swinney. The Tigers went 9-4 last season and continue to avoid using the transfer portal in the manner their opponents do. Can Clemson rebound and turn into a national title contender again? Or is this a slide that will continue as long as Swinney remains stubborn?

Tim Watts of On3’s Bama Online joins later to provide a more clear-eyed view of where Alabama stands 13 days after Nick Saban retired. The shock has worn off, and it’s time for a more sober accounting. Were some of the transfer portal losses bad? Yes? Is Alabama falling off a cliff? Absolutely not.

As Jim Harbaugh talks to NFL teams, Ohio State LOADS UP | VERY early 2024 Heisman odds Jan 23, 2024

Show notes

Tonight's show is sponsored by Fanduel, America's No. 1 sportsbook. Visit fanduel.com/staples to sign up. New users can receive $150 in guaranteed bonus bets by placing one $5 bet.

(0:00-9:54) Intro - Harbaugh Watch Continues

(9:55-15:55) Early Heisman Odds

(15:56-33:51) Bobby Carpenter Joins to talk Ohio State

(33:52-1:01:43) Jesse Simonton Joins

(1:01:44-1:03:18) Conclusion

Harbaugh Watch 2024 continues with the news (reported by Adam Schefter) that Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh met with Los Angeles Chargers officials for a second interview. How close are we to clarity on Harbaugh's situation?

Also, our friends at Fanduel have put out their early 2024 Heisman odds. Texas QB Quinn Ewers and Georgia QB Carson Beck are the favorites, but where is the value on the board? Also, is it possible that the 2024 winner isn't even on what looks like a pretty exhaustive list?

Former Ohio State linebacker Bobby Carpenter (The Bobby Carpenter Show) joins to talk Buckeyes. The vibe is very different in Columbus now compared to three weeks ago, and it's easy to understand why as Bobby explains how Ohio State plans to use some of the excellent players it plucked out of the transfer portal.

Next, On3 national columnist Jesse Simonton joins to discuss his story on possible solutions to college football's crazy calendar. Jesse and Andy also talk LSU and those early Heisman odds.
