Clemson's Dabo Swinney IGNORES the haters: "We just keep winning" Mar 12, 2025

Show notes

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney joins the show to explain why he doesn’t listen to Ari — or anyone else who thinks he should change the way he builds his roster.

Swinney explains why Clemson dipped its toe in the transfer portal and why he still believes the best way to build a football program is with good high school players who remain bought in to the school they originally chose.

Why Texas A&M can be the ultimate agent of CHAOS in 2025 Mar 11, 2025

Show notes

When Andy and Ari made their list of the toughest schedules in the country, one team kept popping up on those schedules: Texas A&M.

And because there are so many teams on the Aggies’ schedule facing pivotal seasons, it means that if Texas A&M is good, then the Aggies can wreak havoc across the SEC.

Texas A&M fans are still starved for a College Football Playoff run. Can Marcel Reed and a revamped group of skill position players get the Aggies there? And what happens everywhere else if they do?

Plus, Ari has made his predictions for the biggest quarterback battles of the offseason. How accurate will he be?

Can a transfer or freshman wide receiver at Penn State finally make that position group productive again?

Will we see Carson Beck throwing at Miami this spring?

LSU killed it in the portal, but can the Tigers develop a run game?

Jedd Fisch is ready for a RESURGENCE at Washington Mar 06, 2025

Show notes

huel.com/STAPLES

Washington coach Jedd Fisch joins the show!

Fisch discusses why he’s still having a spring game, why the college general manager job still isn’t the same as the NFL general manager job and why we should get excited about Huskies sophomore quarterback Demond Williams Jr. playing behind a beefed-up offensive line.

Andy also asks Fisch if he realized former boss Bill Belichick was taking notes with a plan to move into college football.

It’s a great discussion with a coach who can speak authoritatively on the recent flow of NFL people and NFL ideas into college football because. Fisch has worked extensively at both levels.

It’s also a Dear Andy/Dear Ari show, and as always you’ve asked some tremendous questions…

Should Arizona State be offended by the level of uncertainty from the national media following Cam Skattebo’s departure?

What is the potential of Maryland football?

Could Iowa or Nebraska be the teams that surprise everyone next year?

Dabo Swinney said on Tuesday that Clemson will not go with the crowd and cancel its spring game. The Tigers will play one, even if a lot of other schools are cancelling or modifying theirs.

Swinney said a spring game won't increase tampering with his players (it'll happen anyway). So why are so many other coaches so worried? Andy has some thoughts.

Earlier this week, Ari unveiled what he believes will be the biggest storylines of the 2025 season.

But what will be the BIGGEST story of the year?

Arch Manning taking over as QB1 at Texas?

Will Oklahoma be back?

Can Ohio State overcome its Michigan problem?

Andy has a few suggestions as well…

Does the settlement with Florida State and Clemson set an expiration date on the ACC? Mar 04, 2025

Show notes

The ACC plans to settle lawsuits with Clemson and Florida State, and the various boards are expected to approve the settlement on Tuesday.

Who came out on top? It sure seems like Clemson and Florida State (and North Carolina and Miami). The ACC has a set a sliding scale of buyout costs should a school want to leave the league, and the number gets very manageable just as the Big Ten’s current TV deal expires.

Does this mean there is an expiration date on this version of the ACC?

Lastly, Andy & Ari discuss Duke phenom Cooper Flagg and if he should consider staying another year in Durham.

His coaching odyssey took him to Michigan, Arizona, Oxford, Monroe, La., and Jacksonville, Ala., and brought him back on those country roads.

Later, Andy and Ari discuss the NCAA college football rules committee’s proposal to try to curb faking injuries.

Plus, Georgia offensive lineman Tate Ratledge ran what might be the greatest combine 40-yard dash of all time.
