#397 Cabinet For Grabs, Gently Used Dec 16, 2020

Show notes

Kaitlin and Amanda are back to deconstruct Biden’s Cabinet, which includes some disappointing if not confusing picks. They break down Pete Buttigieg’s nomination for Transportation Secretary and explain the progressive reaction to the appointment. Then, they discuss Joe Biden’s response to pressure from civil rights leaders and the appointment of Rep. Marcia Fudge to lead the Department of Housing and Urban Development, despite an enthusiastic campaign for her to lead Agriculture. How does the Biden transition justify their calculus if it’s so inconsistent?
