Ambient Soundbath Podcast #126 – Dan Palladino’s Pastoral Memory Nov 24, 2024

Show notes

I’m really pleased to present Pastoral Memory, the excellent work of Dan Palladino. Dan first got in touch through email and as I listened to Pastoral Memory, I was struck by what a great addition this would be to the Ambient Soundbath Podcast. When I first listened to the individual tracks, how it came to…Read more Ambient Soundbath Podcast #126 – Dan Palladino’s Pastoral Memory

Ambient Soundbath Podcast #125 – Anatomy of Melancholy Sep 05, 2024

Show notes

Look, I gotta tell you right up front, I don’t know much about this track, Anatomy of Melancholy, except that it’s strikingly beautiful, sounds like a lost Harold Budd composition and has a strange and questionable provenance. Through some research I learned that it came from a long out-of-business shop in Boston called Gargoyles, Grotesques…Read more Ambient Soundbath Podcast #125 – Anatomy of Melancholy

It’s always my pleasure to feature the work Allister Thompson. Through the years, Allister has become a friend, collaborator and kindred spirit. I was tickled when he released Autumnal,” his first long-form ambient piece. In order to bulk up the program, I added the wonderful track “After Us” from last year’s Primordia. This is a…Read more Ambient Soundbath Podcast #122 – Allister Thompson’s Autumnal

Ambient Soundbath Podcast #121 – Paul Beaudoin’s Shakti Nov 16, 2023

Show notes

The inclusion of Paul Beaudoin’s Shakti here on the Soundbath started curiously, when a variety of Paul’s tracks showed up in my inbox. Either from a series of Twitter posts or from a Reddit/Ambient conversation, Paul knew I was looking for longform works and sent me some things. I was instantly smitten with Paul’s beautiful…Read more Ambient Soundbath Podcast #121 – Paul Beaudoin’s Shakti
