    UN condemns Putin's invasion Mar 02, 2022

    United Nations member states voted 141-5 to denounce Russia's attack on Ukraine. Even Russia's heavyweight ally China got off the fence and expressed concern with the killing of civilians, offering to play the role of peacemaker. Today's show begins with an interview with Barbara Woodward, the UK's Ambassador to the UN, who previously served as Ambassador to China. Next, Christiane explores what's happening on the ground militarily with General Sir Richard Shirreff, who served as NATO deputy military commander until 2014, when Putin last invaded Ukraine.
