Advent Traditions, Anti-Reformed Rants and Arguments Dec 23, 2025

Show notes

Started off taking a LOT more time than I expected talking about ancient housing arrangements, what a "manger" might be, etc., and then moved on to a rant against Reformed theology and a common argument against God's decree that keeps coming up. Interrupted by a brief power outage at our office, but, I assume Rich will just cut that out. Enjoy!

Open Phones with Great Questions (Except for One)! Dec 18, 2025

Show notes

Really had fun on today's program! Started off with a question I have for a Reformed Baptist minister, and all of his tribe, and the issue of "ecumenical councils," then went to callers. The first, about "Holocaustianity" went too long and went nowhere, but the rest were all thoughtful and really helpful. We have a great audience! I was really encouraged by the quality of the questions and the thinking they exemplified.

Holocaustianity? Really Joel? The Weirdness Continues, Plus a Little Soteriology101. Dec 16, 2025

Show notes

I guess I had more stuff from Joel Webbon than I thought I did as I kept running into it as I looked through my bookmarks today and we kept circling back, my apologies! But, after talking about "Holocaustianity" we did get to some Provisionist stuff, though I didn't get that finished up. Will do so next week, I hope. But, coming on Thursday, we will do another Zoom calls episode. See you then!

Road Trip Dividing Line: Conditionalism, Immaculate Conception Dec 09, 2025

Show notes

Touched on the current controversy raging over conditionalism/annihilationism in the first half hour. It is a tough topic, and rarely approached from the perspective that would allow a consistent, and biblical, conclusion. Then we looked at the Immaculate Conception defined 12/8/1854, and some amazing responses to a short post I put up about it just yesterday.

Road Trip Dividing Line: X Theology Responses Dec 05, 2025

Show notes

Covered a lot of topics today. Answered three questions from a great apologist up north (not that he needed them!), then dove into stuff on John 6, the use of metaphor, King James Onlyism and Steven Anderson (again!), Redeemed Zoomer, BishopJaxi, and finally, an emotion based "testimony" of conversion to Mormonism and the LDS priesthood. Don't forget to catch clips from the program if you can't listen to the whole thing here!

Road Trip Dividing Line: Insane World Stuff, BishopJaxi's Self-Refuting Question Dec 02, 2025

Show notes

Did the program live from Pryor, Oklahoma (it's a bit nippy out here!). Covered some truly insane cultural items at the start, and then moved on to responding to @BishopJaxi's attack on sola scriptura on X. Important material for folks wanting to provide sound responses to those seeking a form of the church that Christ never intended us to have.

Another Open Phones Dividing Line Nov 24, 2025

Show notes

Covered a bunch of topics from Titus 1:6 and elders to Eastern Orthodoxy and sola scriptura and other topics. Will be doing another program on Wednesday given it is a holiday week, and then I head for Pryor, St. Charles, and elsewhere on Friday!

Open Phones Dividing Line! Nov 21, 2025

Show notes

Rich and I were commenting after the show, "Why don't we do this more often? That was great!" Good calls on lots of topics as always. Two were on Reformed Baptists in churches of another denomination (one Lutheran, one PCA). Also calls on the early church writers, Mormonism, etc. Enjoy!

Skillet Non-Controversy, Conciliar Authority, CN Documentary Nov 18, 2025

Show notes

Spent a little longer than I intended to address the "controversy" on line regarding Skillet's great rendition of O Come, O Come Emmanuel, and then moved on to comments made by Matthew Barrett on "conciliar authority" and being a Baptist. Right toward the end we mentioned the new trailer(s) for an upcoming Christian Nationalism documentary and how really dumb it is to say Christianity is "fake and gay."

Mamdani, Gio Benitez and the USCCB, and Kings Back to You, Dr. Allen Nov 13, 2025

Show notes

Had to finally comment on the election of an open communist (I explain how democratic socialists are just communists without guns...yet) in New York City, and what that means for the future. Then I looked at the recent reception of Gio Benitez, an openly "married" homosexual, into the Roman Church, replete with access to the Eucharist, and how even Bishop Strickland raised the issue to the USCCB. Then we responded to Dr. Allen's comments on our challenge to Provisionists, discovering the new "hermeneutic of agnosticism" that they use to try to avoid actually telling us what texts mean (rather than just telling us what they cannot possibly mean).
