#156: Do Not Be Surprised: A Spiritual Battle Mar 24, 2021

Show notes

We can learn much about today's challenges by studying history. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses Peter and other early Christians, who endured significant spiritual battles as they suffered, were persecuted, and even died for their beliefs, which were considered to be radical at the time. If early believers had yielded to the religious pressures of their era, it would have been fatal to our faith. Similarly, we must stand firm in our faith, without compromise, so future generations will know the truth about Jesus of Nazareth, the Savior of the world.

#153: Majesty, Glory & Honor Mar 17, 2021

Show notes

Pastor Allen Jackson invites us to a heightened imagination of what it means to be a Christ follower. Attending church, being religious, and having a heightened moral sense are fine, but they aren't adequate representations of what it means to be in a relationship with the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Using Ephesians 1:3-10, Pastor Allen outlines seven promises God has been pleased to extend to us, as His children. He then discusses our journey through time, what Christians can expect along that journey, and how the Holy Spirit provides personal spiritual guidance the entire way.
