Ep 32: Blender Bombs: How the Desire to Eat Healthier Exploded Into a Business Jan 06, 2021
    Show notes

We all want to eat healthier, but we don't always take the time to do so - and it can be hard to figure out exactly which foods are really best to incorporate into our diet. What's even harder? Starting a business in today's extremely crowded and competitive health food space.
In this episode we speak with Helen Hall, the CEO of Blender Bombs and the 80x20 Market, whose first product exploded onto the food scene in 2017. After crash and fad diets failed to keep the weight off, Helen created Blender Bombs as an easier way to add more healthy, plant-based foods to her diet. A Personal Trainer at the time, her clients loved them too, and before she knew it, a company was born. We discuss how she started the company, the steps she's taking to grow the business, what it's like working side-by-side with her fiancé (oh, and throwing planning a wedding into the mix), and what it takes overall to be an entrepreneur in the difficult-to-navigate, razor-thin profit margin food industry.
Giveaway Alert! Learn how you can win a Bomb Box of Goodies, AND how you can get 20% off your first order of Blender Bombs products!

Ep 31: 2021 Resolution: Ready to Not Only Survive, But Thrive Dec 30, 2020
    Show notes

2020 made us feel helpless in so many ways.
This past year has forced us to be resilient. It has forced us to adapt. It has forced us to figure out ways to stand up and take charge of situations that appeared, at first, to be totally out of our control.
And for that growth, that new-found strength, we are thankful. And so as we look to 2021, we choose to use our new-found resilience to not only survive, but to thrive. In this episode we discuss what the concept of resolutions means to us, the importance of coordinating resolutions with a purpose, and taking the positives of what we've learned over the past year into 2021.
Here's to a Happy New Year for All!

Ep 28: She Said YES! Dec 09, 2020
    Show notes

A holiday season jam-packed with joyful outings with friends and family unfortunately isn't in the cards this year, so we thought it would be a good time to revisit a more carefree time (i.e. pre-mask days) so we could share a more nuanced story of our engagement! Picture this... January 2019 - Conrad covertly reaches out to Hearts On Fire to start the process of designing a custom ring for "A Girl You Might Know" From Conrad asking "A Girl You Might Know" dad permission, to the memorable trip to St. John where a videographer was staying in the same house without "A Girl You Might Know" even knowing - this is the story of our engagement :-)
Know someone who is getting engaged this holiday season? We'd love to help! Tune in to find out more!
