Resisting Jesus and Limiting God's Help Dec 20, 2024

In this week's episode of A Little More Light, Kev and Dee unpack a passage in Luke 14. They talk about the ways we often inadvertently try to limit God, resist help from Jesus and how we shy away from prayer. When we get caught up in our own schedules and ideal timelines, sometimes God's plan gets pushed to the side. Or, we try to fit our plans into his without surrendering to his timing.

The Good News is that God is not limited to our timelines or preconceived ideas of how things should go. On April 27th, Kev is going to be running the London Marathon! It's been a goal of his to do a marathon and finally, the location and date have been set! In today's episode, Dee interviews Kev on his passion for running and why he wants to run a marathon. Given the implications of having dwarfism, Kev talks about his goals, what draws him to running and how running has helped him grow closer to God.

Communication is not just a choice or decision made in a relationship when it feels good to do it. No, communication is something that is needed at all times in a relationship. And not just any type of communication, good, honest, real, and uplifting is the key.
