Under the extremely watchful* eye of Feyre and company, Lucien tries to determine what is “wrong” with Elain. Finally, we get some reactions. Are they good? Ehhh. But it is a reaction. Quickly followed by some more blank stares and sentences that do not make sense. (SIDE NOTE - THIS IS WHERE BLAKE MAKES THE REVELATION OF A LIFETIME). Next up, some flying lessons for Feyre where we get Miryam and Drakon’s story. Moral of the story, expect the unexpected.
Seriously though, things usually are so fun in the Court of Nightmares but this trip makes us want a refund from the travel agent. Rhys has been keeping secrets…again. Keir is going to be allowed in Velaris?! Eris is now a frenemy? We FINALLY get everyone’s favorite deadly queen’s backstory. Turns out Amren is even more of a badass than we could’ve guessed….like damn.
Celeana’s daring rescue may not be discreet but it does earn her honor of eighteenth place…if only there weren’t only 20 competitors. Even with yet another murder, everyone turns out to celebrate the holiday with a nice feast and ball…well everyone but Celeana. Rude! It’s not a complete loss though since she finds some crazy secret tunnels while pouting. Not to mention, she has two very handsome men making nighttime visits.
Today we are having some serious conversations. We are talking about Nesta and her newfound power after taking from the Cauldron. We are looking through Lucien’s mind and talking about mates. Then we head back to The Court of Nightmares and are shell shocked. And here we go…
The Bone Carver is back. Let’s get a little history lesson, make some deals, and get a glimpse into the future. The Palm Reader of Prythian. The Fortune Teller with skills that match no other. Sign up - there is a lot of availability. Some people may or may not come back…
I cannot stress this enough. Workout, trial, murder, vomit, books, suspicion, and more working out. That might just be the entire one sentence summary of Throne of Glass. Hmmmm… more data to be collected in the future. Updates to come.
Going to the library is always a good idea…even if your High Lord’s teasing makes reading impossible. Anyone else getting The Prince & Me vibes??? We also get our first hint at everyone’s favorite shadow monster while we search for answers among the books! Feyre interrupts the staring contest to end all staring contests. Then it’s time to prep for a visit another favorite (and super unsettling) monster, yay?
How many times can one vomit in a book? Celaena is going for the record. Training continues. Another champion dies. This time by choice? We may never know. Then there is some sword play. Or a lot of sword play? Or sword play is discussed a lot…? Swords are great.
Let’s plan some warfare. And ask Nesta for help? Check. And push her over the edge? Check. But not tell Elain? Check. Question our position as High Lady (again)? Discuss who might possibly want to kill us at a meeting of the High Lords? And make plans that involve Keir? Check. Check. Check.
The invasion of Amren’s apartment begins. Needless to say, she enjoys company quite a bit. Thankfully the book is safe and protected just casually laying on a side table being used as a coaster. What is a few blood stains on an ancient book? Plans are being made. Invites are going out. Let the war begin.
