This week we are going down the rabbit hole to discuss our top theories for House of Sky and Breath with @skyeslibrary! We break down some of the other major theories making the rounds through the fandom. We love some. We loathe some. We are perplexed by some.
We finally wrapped up ACOWAR last week so you know what time it is. It's recap time with Blake and Cait! We share our thoughts on everything from Feyre's time in the Spring Court to Nessian's development to the sheer size of ACOWAR (which we all continuously forgot). After that....well you know we were destined to go off the rails since Mads wasn't here to keep us on track!
The end of Throne of Glass (the book, not series!) is upon us! Celaena is still recovering from her brutal injuries from the duel with Cain. Her injuries include whiplash from the back and forth between Dorian and Chaol. Although, cuddles in bed with Dorian sound like a cure all to us. Meanwhile, the King and the Duke of Perrington discuss their promise rings and evil plans. Elena gives yet another vague and oddly inspiring pep talk. Finally, Celaena signs on the dotted line and is officially the King’s Champion.
We are FINALLY here, the end of ACOWAR! The Cauldron gets some new babysitters in the form of Miryam and Drakon. Feyre organizes a meeting between the High Lords and the human contingency in an effort to begin Prythian's healing. We need to take a moment here to apologize for the truly insane diversion we take for a few minutes. Prepare yourselves. After Mads' takes on a wild and scarring ride, we get back to Velaris. Then we are gifted with a truly beautiful chapter from Rhys' POV before Feyre and Rhys make the bargain to end all bargains.
The Archeron sisters go to bury their father. A familiar face comes to speak with them as they grieve. After all the sad events, Mads and Caitlyn decide its time to move on to happier topics, i.e. their recent reads!
We see the aftermath of that crazy duel and it’s not great. Dorian has a very awkward, unsettling and tense conversation with the King…so you know, a normal chat with his dad. Meanwhile, Celaena wakes up covered in bruises and full of questions for Nehemia. For once, Nehemia actually answers her questions…sort of.
Nesta finally gets her vengeance against the King of Hybern. He should’ve known it was coming from the moment she pointed her finger at him! We finally get some answers on what Amren was up to and it’s devastating to say the least. After that emotional punch to the gut, we are hit with yet another tragedy. This one lasts a whooping three pages though so we aren’t as traumatized.
Join us for a very special bonus episode where we share our reviews and initial thoughts on House of Sky and Breath with the lovely @skyeslibrary! This episode is full of spoilers (like life-altering ones) so please be sure to tune in AFTER you finish the book!
So Amren lied which doesn’t seem great. Before we can get answers, the Cauldron whisks Feyre away for a pretty gruesome side show. Nesta and Cassian do what they can to buy everyone time but yet again the King of Hybern doesn’t play by the rules. An unlikely (and we mean VERY unlikely) hero steps up with seconds to spare. Note that we had a weird technical issue this week so please excuse the minor echo. We will have this fixed asap!
Elena gives Celaena a much needed spiritual cleanse. After getting an odd temporary face tattoo, we finally get to see Celaena give Cain what he deserves! We have a brief interlude to introduce all of you to Daddy Kronk. And we’re back just in time to see Kaltain get in some serious trouble but at least she has her robe.
