This week starts out with a delightful visit with the Autumn King where we get to see him belittle our beloved Ruhn. In between the jabs, there are quite a few minor details scattered like breadcrumbs that lead us to think this guy knows WAY more than he lets on. Meanwhile, Bryce begins the fun process of baiting Hunt and its entertaining to say the least.
While Blake was away, Mads and Caitlyn decided to rage and do whatever they wanted. Blake is nervous and very scared for what chaos unfolded this week. Buckle up for a wild ride.
Prepare for the mayhem that is me (Blake) recording solo to go on a deep dive into the SJM Universe that takes some minor detours into other dives. This is hopefully the start of a fun new series of mini-episodes of pure theory chaos. Think of these episodes as a (probably scary) look into my mind. The question of the week: Who knows what and how much do they know?
So Micah, the Governor of Valbara, is just casually chilling in the gallery and blatantly ogling Bryce. We don’t blame him really but he is a psycho creep nonetheless. Anyways, apparently Bryce is the best bet to catch the demon summoning murderer on the loose? And she only has a month to do it. As an added bonus, Sandriel is coming to town with her favorite weapon, the Hammer. Hunt is less than pleased by all of this until Micah makes him an offer that is too good to be true.
We wrap up our 2023 reading and dish about our favorite reads of the year! Also, Blake learns that Mads either tunes her out often or is just slightly more insane than she thought. Just wait until you hear about our interactions today. Between one of the creepiest but funniest things we’ve ever done and then her unfounded anger a couple hours later, prepare for whiplash. You’ll also get our list of highly anticipated 2024 releases. Friendly reminder that Blake is AWFUL with dates and Mads is an alpha reader for a lot of authors. Keep that in mind for our 2024 lists.
After a rough night out dealing with a creepy vamp, Bryce’s week doesn’t get much better. Honestly, it gets way worse very quickly. We also learn a bit more about Hunt’s unfortunate situation and his doomed bargain with Micah. All in all, it is a very bad week for everyone and it’s only Tuesday…
How are we all feeling after last week’s episode? Full disclosure: we are still recovering. Bryce has yet another terrifying encounter that just gets worse later in the book. After a desperately needed time jump, information comes in left and right about life in Midgard, the Drop and the brutal politics of the world. As usual, Blake couldn’t help herself and jumped into a few deep dives. Enjoy!
The ruse was successful! Join me as I drag Caitlyn through some of the worst trauma that SJM has ever dealt to us. We’re not crying, you are! But seriously…tears were shed. Prepare for all the feels.
It is one of our favorite times of the year! Spotify Wrapped season is upon us! Mads and I are once again flabbergasted at the stats from this little chaotic podcast. Seriously, thank you for listening and supporting our chaos. We love all of you! Afterwards, we each breakdown our personal Spotify Wrapped and Mads is just super mean to me. For the record, I am proud to be a 1% fan! Concerning Hobbits is a freaking bop!
After leaving Danika with the Pack, Bryce heads to a swanky restaurant only to be ignored by her date. Reid, you are simply the worst. The power struggle and inequalities between Vanir and humans take center stage as Bryce has an avid audience during her “meal”. To make matters worse, Connor’s text messages. That’s it. Just his text messages. SOBBING. Following an epic exit, Bryce joins up with Fury for a night of fun. Oof. REMINDER: These Crescent City episodes are NOT spoiler free!
