    A Buddhist Podcast

This Podcast is a free show about the Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin. Jason and Karen are members of the Soka Gakkai. Every two weeks they take a Buddhist study point and do their best to make it easy to understand and of use to anyone who listens.
Practical Buddhism for living in the 21st Century, not beside a remote lake or mountainside but in the midst of daily life, with a job to do, a house to run and children to raise.

    Show notes

Welcome to another episode of A Buddhist Podcast! Tonight William Woollard reads Chapter 5, Buddhism and Ethics from his book, The Case for Buddhism. Its a great chapter that I’ve learned a lot from. Williams use of accessible language makes this a great book to give people who know nothing about Buddhism.

We play a fun track by Robin Lukas called How are you? I love it! As soon as there is an official final version, we will post links here! After getting some emails from listeners with huge challenges I decided to talk about my experience of taking on challenges and lose grief to help me become a better person. So lots of voices tonight and a couple of experiences too. The artwork for the episode is the last picture I had taken with my uncle, Barry Brooks who recently passed away. Barry introduced me to this practice.

Thank you to everyone for your support. The show continues to evolve!

Welcome to the first show of 2018. We start tonights show with a chapter from William Woollard's book that sits alongside chapter 3, its a simple chapter about Nichiren Daishonin, the Buddha who’s teachings we follow. This is such a great book to give to friends and relatives who want to know more as it explains concepts in easy to understand english and is jargon free! I loved editing Chapter 4 and I hope you get as much out of it as I did. We play two tracks from the wonderful Robin Lukas, Smile (Robins track) from her album Beyond Paradise Edge, and Walkin’ By Myself from her Album, Robin Lukas. Thank you for supporting the show and for putting a smile on my face Robin! The show is going to evolve and change but not overnight! Have a wonderful week everyone. Thank you everyone for your support
