Kristian Hunt LCSW, LCADC is a clinical therapist, mental health advocate, life coach, philanthropist, researcher and author. He specializes in substance use addictions and co-occurring disorders. In addition, Kristian’s specialty consists of young adults struggling in self-identification, personal and professional life transitions, dating and relationship issues which have caused depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, insecurities and substance use. Kristian completed his bachelor's degree in Sociology at Kean University and received his master’s degree in clinical social work at Rutgers University. Kristian was inducted in the Nu Omicron Phi Alpha Honor Society in 2018. His training includes inpatient and outpatient settings, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, medication assisted treatment, clinical research and fellowship at Rutgers University.
Kristian’s approach to therapy is developing goals pertaining to but not limited to enhancing a person’s strengths, problem solving abilities, emotional intelligence, and effective coping skills while eliciting an overall healthier quality of life. Kristian is the Founder and CEO of Self-Made Lifestyle Counseling and Therapeutic Services. Kristian’s long-term goal is to continue to spread mental health awareness via training, publications, public speaking engagements, and social media outlets, while normalizing the importance of therapy and breaking the stigma for our future generations.
