The fellas have had a few days to digest Monday's win vs the LA Rams at home. They discuss how phenomenal the defense has been before shifting the discussion to how their preseason expectations for the 49ers have changed. They talk about how this was supposed to be a developmental year of sorts with Trey Lance and how now that Jimmy G is the starting QB they have a lot more pressure to win now and make a run at the Super Bowl. With this in mind, they run through the 49ers upcoming schedule and give updated predictions for every game left and what they believe their record will be at the end of the year. Next, the guys revisit the topic of standout defensive players from Monday's victory over the Rams. They give some updates on their defensive leaders like Nick Bosa and Charvarious Ward, Emmanuel Mosley, and Gipson. Best 49ers Defense Since '95 + 49ers Own Division For Now & Offense Not Super Bowl Ready Oct 05, 2022

The guys open up talking about the defense and how awesome it is to watch a team with a dominant defense. They compare this defense to the 1995 Pete Carroll defense and say that this 2022 defense looks to be better. They talk about Demeco Ryans and discuss whether or not he is the best coach on the staff. They highlight Charvarious Ward, Nick Bosa, & Talanoa Hufunga. They discuss taking Nick Bosa for granted and Hufunga emerging as a potential defensive player of the year candidate. They talk about the Rams and how much more talented the 49ers are. Next, they talk about how the Division belongs to the 49ers as long as Jimmy G manages the game. Jimmy G was accurate for the most part, and he played well enough to win, which is all they can really ask for right now. The fellas open up the show in defense of Jimmy G and his viral lip readings. They use that as a jumping off point for Jimmy and Kyle's relationship and how it is only natural that there would be a rift considering how much flirting Shanahan has done over the years with other quarterbacks. They ask the question is Jimmy G still bought in? Next, they get into Kyle's history with quarterbacks and ask why his QBs tend to throw so many interceptions. They talk about why Russell Wilson was disliked by Richard Sherman and how Kyle needs to be careful he doesn't cause the same vibe in the 49ers locker room by giving him passes on everything.
