In April 2005, Stephen Stanko murdered his girlfriend Laura Ling, and then raped and stabbed her daughter. Shortly afterwards, he killed a friend, Henry Turner. At his trial for Laura's murder, Stephen's lawyer called on medical experts who claimed that PET scan images of his brain revealed that he was born with a brain defect that made him psychopathic and, on occasion, temporarily insane. “48 Hours" correspondent Troy Roberts reports. In March 2011, David Ditto called 911 to say his wife, Karina, had fallen down a flight of stairs in their Mira Mesa, California home and slammed her head on a tile floor. Karina died two days later, and the medical examiner ruled that she was beaten and strangled. Investigators believed David drugged his two children so they wouldn't wake up during the murder. “48 Hours" correspondent Maureen Maher reports.
