Toyota vs. the Greens, Biden's Expired Talking Points, PGA Commish Blames Congress Jun 14, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they applaud Toyota shareholders for rejecting the pressure of environmental activists to phase out the internal combustion engine and go all in on electric vehicles. They also sigh as President Biden once again offers up completely false or badly outdated talking points - including his new favorite factoid that Africa will soon have one billion people, a level it reached in 2009. Finally, they smack down PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan's assertion that the PGA Tour only made a deal with the Saudis and the LIV Tour because Congress didn't do more to help.

Grassley's Biden Bombshell, No Campaign for No Labels? Burying the Target Truth Jun 13, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg for one good martini and two crazy ones. First they react to Senator Chuck Grassley revealing that a foreign national claims to have recordings of conversations with Hunter and Joe Biden. The conversations allegedly prove the Bidens engaged in bribery while Joe was Vice President. They then assess The No Labels statement that it will not run a candidate in 2024 should Trump lose the GOP nomination. Finally, they shake their heads at The Washington Post's misleading headline that reported bomb threats "over Pride merchandise". However, much later in the story we learn that the threats came from extremists who were upset that Target "betrayed the LGBTQ+ community".

China & Bioweapons, Lousy Polls for Biden & Trump, China & Cuba Jun 12, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome more information about the origins of COVID-19, but the new information shows the Chinese military played a leading role in gain of function research and were using it to develop bioweapons. Will anyone condemn the CCP for heading down this road? They also sigh at new polling showing President Biden and Donald Trump with identical, lousy 31 percent approval ratings. Americans do not want this rematch, but all indications suggest they will get it anyway. Finally, they shudder as the Biden administration keeps changing its story about Chinese espionage efforts against the U.S. based in Cuba.

Trump Indicted Again, Automatic Absentee Ballots, Saudis Bullied Biden Jun 09, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they mix another full batch of crazy martinis. First, they note another indictment of Donald Trump, this time by federal prosecutors over alleged mishandling of classified documents. They also break down the bizarre political fallout we're likely to see from all of this and are surprised by an unlikely skeptic of the charges. They also groan as they discover Virginia allows voters to sign up on a list that automatically sends them absentee ballots for every election. It's a recipe for mischief and suspicion, and asking people who want to vote absentee - most of whom could easily show and vote - to make a ballot request for each election is not asking very much. Finally, they react to reports that Joe Biden's threat of "consequences" against Saudi Arabia was met with Saudi threats of "not dealing with the U.S. administration anymore." So of course Biden caved.

Finally, they discuss Mike Pence's bid for the Republican presidential nomination, and his potential impact on the campaign.

Kerry's D-Day Cringe, GOP Gas Stove Drama, Burgum for President? Jun 07, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg for a full course of crazy martinis. They start off shocked at Biden climate envoy John Kerry contending the climate change crisis is our generation's D-Day during a speech in Norway. Then they mull over the recent debt ceiling fight among House Republicans and the Freedom Caucus disrupting a bill that would protect gas stoves from the Biden administration'regulations. They conclude by discussing the longshot presidential bid by North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, and what it may mean for the Republican primary field.

Sen. Scott Strikes Back, Eric Adams' Very Bad Idea, LIV and Let LIV Jun 06, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg for three full martinis and an appetizer. They begin by quickly mentioning that New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu will not run for president and will be spending a lot of time telling candidates to get out if they are not gaining traction. Then they applaud Sen. Tim Scott for going on "The View" and shredding the lefty ladies' contention that systemic racism is mostly responsible for holding back black achievement. They also shudder as New York City Mayor Eric Adams suggests placing thousands of people who entered the U.S. illegally in private homes. And they're shocked as the PGA Tour and the Saudi-backed LIV Tour announce they are merging.

Americans Reject EV Mandates, China's Latest Aggression, CNN's Identity Crisis Jun 05, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome a new survey showing American overwhelmingly opposed to phasing out gas-powered vehicles and fossil fuel-based energy, not to mention paying a lot more for their energy. They also groan as the Chinese take threatening action against a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Taiwan Strait and wonder if the Biden administration has a coherent strategy for dealing with the CCP. Finally, they react to the Tim Alberta's profile of embattled CNN CEO and Chairman Chris Licht and why granting any journalist access to just about every part of your life is almost always a horrible idea.

GOP Senate Prospects, Cable News Debate Drama, Lightfoot Fails Upward Jun 02, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they're intrigued about possible GOP Senate campaigns from Rep. Mike Gallagher in Wisconsin and baseball great Steve Garvey in California. They also cast a wary eye on CNN and MSNBC drooling at the chance to host Republican presidential debates because they may get major fireworks between Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis. And given their constant anti-GOP content and their past performances in Republican debates, there's plenty of reason for skepticism. Finally, they roll their eyes as failed former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot lands a prime teaching gig at Harvard University with a focus on leadership.

Senate's Student Loan Rebuke, 'No Plan' on China, Hunter's Absurd Defense Jun 01, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the likely Senate rejection of Biden’s student loan forgiveness scheme. They then recoil over how ill-prepared the U.S. and Great Britain are to counter China's aggressive non-military tactics for achieving its goals against the U.S. Finally, they're staggered as Hunter Biden is planning to fight any forthcoming charges for lying on a federal gun purchasing form by arguing the Second Amendment should allow drug users to own firearms.
