Is Biden Undermining Harris? Kamala Whiffs Again, Walz Wants to Scrap Electoral College Oct 09, 2024
    Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss whether President Biden is deliberately damaging the Kamala Harris campaign, Harris doing even worse in a second opportunity to distance herself from Biden's record, and Tim Walz wanting to abolish the Electoral College.
First, they appreciate Biden defending the hurricane preparations by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ahead of Hurricane Milton after Vice President Harris suggested DeSantis didn't take her calls over politics. But they also wonder whether Biden is subtly or even subconsciously undermining Harris after being shoved aside by his party for a second term.
Next, they examine Harris’s struggles in responding to questions about her differences from Biden’s policies. After her lackluster response on "The View," she stumbles again on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," avoiding a simple question with her usual "word salad." Why is she so bad at answering a simple question?
Finally, Jim and Greg analyze the fallout from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s comments at a California fundraiser where he advocated for abolishing the Electoral College in favor of a national popular vote. The Harris campaign insists this is not her position, but it is the overwhelming position on the left. So which party is going to protect our norms, laws, and traditions again?

Kamala Confirms No Gaps with Biden, Finally Facing Tough Questions, GOP Senate Momentum Oct 08, 2024
    Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three good martinis. Today, they discuss Kamala Harris confirming she and Joe Biden had no major policy differences, Harris getting some tough questions from "60 Minutes", and Republicans gaining ground in three critical Midwest Senate races. Oh, and of course Jim has a couple of thoughts about the New York Jets firing their head coach.
First, they react to Kamala Harris telling the ladies on "The View" that "there's not a thing that comes to mind" when asked whether there was anything she would have done differently than President Biden. She also says she was a part of every major decision Biden made. Jim says this completely ties her to Biden's unpopular record and he is stunned she didn't come up with a single difference.
Next, they applaud Bill Whitaker of "60 Minutes" for asking Kamala Harris tough questions and good follow-up questions, especially on the Biden administration's handling of the border crisis. Jim and Greg also critique Harris’s word salad responses, as she tried to deflect blame onto Republicans while struggling to defend the administration’s failures on immigration.
Finally, Jim and Greg discuss the momentum shift in three key Senate races. With only four weeks left in the campaign, Republicans are gaining ground in Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan. Wisconsin is now considered a toss-up, Ohio polling shows a dead heat, and Michigan is within the margin of error, signaling that the GOP could make critical gains in these battleground states.

One Year Since the Hamas Atrocities, Viktor Bout’s Return to Arms, Kamala Flops Off Script Oct 07, 2024
    Show notes

Greg is back! Join Jim and Greg as they discuss the horrors of the Hamas savagery against Israel one year ago today, notorious arms dealer Viktor Bout back in the business of giving weapons to bad guys, and Kamala Harris proving she is helpless without her teleprompter.
First, they reflect on the horrific Hamas attacks on Israel, marking one year since the brutal invasion that led to mass killings, rapes, and kidnappings. Jim discusses the rise of anti-Semitism on American college campuses and the hypocrisy of anti-Israel protests.
Next, Jim and Greg dive into the return of infamous arms dealer Viktor Bout, who is now reportedly back in the weapons trade after being swapped for American basketball player Brittney Griner less than two years ago. Bout is now allegedly working with Iran-backed Houthi rebels, something Jim argues was an inevitable consequence of the Biden administration's prisoner exchange deal.
Finally, they lighten the mood by discussing Kamala Harris’s embarrassing teleprompter failure, and how her ad libbed remarks reveal just how lost she can be without a script—even after delivering the same speech for months.

Corruption in Minnesota; Dockworker Strike; Wisconsin Senate Race Oct 04, 2024
    Show notes

Greg is still out, so guest host Craig Collins gets to enjoy a rare day of three good martinis with Jim.
First, CNN delivers a big, detailed, and damning report about scandals in the Minnesota state government under Tim Walz – who knew we could get hard-hitting mainstream media coverage of someone on the Democratic ticket about a month before the election?
Meanwhile, the dockworker strike gets suspended for 90 days – the striking workers will have to make due with "merely” a 62 percent raise over six years, but America dodges an economic bullet.
Finally, Axios reports that Democrats are genuinely worried about the Wisconsin Senate race… and Democratic senator Jon Tester hasn't led a poll out in Montana since mid-August.

The Middle East; Dock Worker Strike; RFK Jr. Oct 03, 2024
    Show notes

Join Jim and new guest host Craig Collins as they chew over the best news in the Middle East in ages, the realization that “Hezbollah and Hamas are paralyzed temporarily and Iran is exposed and unable to defend itself.”
Meanwhile, the dockworker strike continues, and the leader of the union continues to sound like a character from HBO’s “The Penguin,” pledging to cripple the American economy.
Finally, in the crazy martini, Jim and Craig contemplate the odd report that the Trump campaign might distance themselves from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. because of his additional womanizing, and ask the country’s women a difficult question: Ladies... why are so many of you swooning over RFK Jr?

The VP Debate: Vance Shines, Walz Is Overmatched, Partisan CBS Moderators Oct 02, 2024
    Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they break down Tuesday’s vice presidential debate between Ohio Sen. JD Vance and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. They explain why Vance dominated, why Walz failed to rise to the occasion, and how the CBS moderators stood out for all the wrong reasons.
First, they highlight Vance’s stellar performance, delivering strong, organized answers while keeping his criticism focused on Kamala Harris rather than Walz. His persuasive responses on the economy, immigration, and the Middle East were particularly effective, though there were a few moments where his answers could have been stronger.
Next, they critique Walz from his shaky start to his painful dodge on his lie about whether he was in China during the Tiananmen Square massacre in June 1989. He seemed to talk more about his record in Minnesota than defending Kamala's performance as vice president. And they note his inadvertent stumble suggesting he was friends with school shooters. It was a slip of the tongue - but Republicans never get the benefit of the doubt when they flub a line.
Finally, they express frustration with CBS moderators Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan. Both displayed bias, making comments critical of GOP positions and contradicting their promise not to fact-check. Brennan especially fumbled when she tried to cut off Vance as he corrected her on immigration facts.

Brilliant Israeli Tactics & Incoming Iranian Missiles, Longshoremen Go on Strike, Vance vs. Walz Oct 01, 2024
    Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they marvel at more reported genius from Israeli intelligence and brace for Iranian missile strikes in retaliation. They also slam the outrageous demands of the striking longshoreman's union and preview tonight's vice presidential debate.
First, they discuss reports that Iran’s secret service formed a unit to target Mossad agents, but the effort failed spectacularly as a Mossad agent ended up leading the operation and populating the group with other Mossad operatives. However, they're also paying close attention as Israel braces for an Iranian missile attack in retaliation for Israel's very successful strikes vs. Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen.
Next, they turn their attention to the International Longshoremen's Association strike, which has shut down U.S. ports along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. Jim and Greg criticize the union’s demands and President Biden’s lack of leadership in handling the crisis, which could have significant economic repercussions.
Finally, they preview tonight's vice presidential debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz. Jim predicts a strong showing from Vance and questions whether this debate will further highlight Kamala Harris's questionable choice of running mate.

Heads Roll at Hezbollah, Biden’s Border Brings Brutal Criminals, RFK Jr.'s Ballot Wars Sep 30, 2024
    Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they dive into Israel’s swift elimination of Hezbollah’s leadership, the alarming number of convicted criminals allowed into the U.S., and the calculated ballot strategies of both RFK Jr. and left-leaning judges.
First, they celebrate Israel’s rapid dismantling of Hezbollah’s command, including the killing of Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, infamous for his role in the 1983 U.S. Marine barracks bombing in Beirut, among many other atrocities. Israel also swiftly eliminated his successor within hours, showcasing a master class in intelligence work and military precision.
Next, they blast the Biden administration after new ICE data reveals that more than 662,000 people processed into the U.S. are either convicted criminals or have criminal charges pending against them. This includes more than 13,000 convicted murderers, nearly 16,000 convicted sexual offenders, and a total of 422,000 convicted criminals now residing in the country and more than 220,000 others possibly guilty as well.
Finally, they follow the obvious political strategy of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and left-leaning judges over Kennedy's ballot access in several states. As Kennedy tries to stay on the ballot in deep blue states and get off the ballot in battleground states, left-leaning judges are ruling exactly the opposite. So much for the sacred preservation of democracy.

Milei Speaks Truth to the UN, Our Reckless Sanctuary Cities, Leftist Prints Iran-Hacked Trump Docs Sep 27, 2024
    Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they wrap up the week by analyzing Argentinian President Javier Milei’s powerful speech at the United Nations, the dangers of sanctuary cities, and a leftist writer who published hacked Trump campaign materials provided by Iran.
First, they praise President Milei for condemning the socialist agenda at the United Nations, calling out the UN for coddling autocrats, constantly criticizing Israel, and empowering repressive regimes in shaping policies on women’s rights. Jim also provides an update on Milei’s economic reforms in Argentina and how they are progressing.
Next, they express outrage over sanctuary cities and counties that endanger residents by releasing dangerous criminal illegals before federal immigration officials can detain them. And it happens over and over again. They focus on a specific case in Jim's backyard in Fairfax County, Virginia, where an illegal immigrant was released three times after arrests for violent crimes.
Finally, they’re disgusted by far-left writer Ken Klippenstein, who published a hacked Trump campaign dossier on JD Vance that was provided by Iran but rejected by Democrats and other media outlets. They explain what really got Klippenstein suspended from X and why his behavior crosses a line in journalism.

Kamala's Confusing MSNBC Interview, NYC Mayor Adams Indicted, Biden Gaslights on 2024 Decision Sep 26, 2024
    Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they assess Kamala's weak performance on MSNBC, New York City Mayor Eric Adams getting indicted in a federal foreign bribery case, and President Biden trying to gaslight America and the world about why he's not still running for president.
First, they get a kick out of Kamala Harris struggling mightily to answer very basic questions from MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle. Harris seemed to have no insights on tariffs or what she would do if Congress didn't pass a corporate tax increase if she were elected. She also delivered another notorious word salad. Jim and Greg debate whether her poor performance is due to incompetence or an attempt to conceal her radical agenda.
Next, they react to New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ federal indictment for allegedly taking bribes from Turkish officials to expedite a questionable construction project. They discuss the implosion of Adams’ administration, whether his criticism of the migrant crisis played a role in the indictment, and the disgraced figure who may be eyeing a political comeback.
Finally, they debunk President Biden’s claim that his decision to step down in July was a selfless move for the good of the nation. Jim and Greg argue that Biden’s narrative, presented during his U.N. speech and appearance on The View, overlooks pressure from top Democrats pushing him out of the 2024 race.
