Nikki Haley For President; Inflation Numbers; Will Support For Ukraine Endure? Feb 14, 2023

Show notes

Chad Benson is in for Greg Corombos today. GOOD: We considered Tim Scott yesterday, we probably should consider Nikki Haley today. BAD: Ooof, bad inflation numbers. CRAZY: One week after pledging to stand by Ukraine "as long as it takes," the Biden team tells Ukraine they can't stand by them forever.

Shooting Down UFOs; Russia Targets Americans; Tim Scott For President Feb 13, 2023

Show notes

Chad Benson is in for Greg Corombos today, and the traditional good, bad and crazy order of the martinis is reversed, as Chad and Jim contemplate the third unidentified flying object shot down by the U.S. military in three days; another U.S. State Department warning to Americans in Russia to leave the country as soon as possible to avoid a ‘wrongful detention,’ and the intriguing potential of a presidential campaign by U.S. senator Tim Scott of South Carolina.

Exposing FBI Bias, Fetterman Health Falsehoods, Left Attacks Free Speech Again Feb 10, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they applaud the congressional testimony of former FBI Special Agent Nicole Parker about how the politics of the FBI's leadership are affecting the work and the credibility of the bureau. But will shining the spotlight on this result in any meaningful changes? They also fume as new reporting on Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman's stroke and very difficult recovery prove that the campaign and Fetterman's doctor flat-out lied to the people of Pennsylvania and that Fetterman's inability to process what he hears is making it very difficult for him to do his job. Finally, they unload on the State Department for spending U.S. tax dollars through outside groups to muzzle conservative reporting through the Orwellian-sounding Global Disinformation Index.

Bipartisan Criticism for Buttigieg, GOP Murders in New Jersey, China's Balloon Strategy Feb 09, 2023

Show notes

Jim and Greg are pleasantly surprised to see bipartisan Senate criticism aimed at Transportation Sec. Pete Buttigieg over the Southwest Airlines meltdown over the holidays and the recent FAA computer problem that briefly grounded all flight in the U.S. They also cringe as a second local Republican official in New Jersey is murdered within a week. Whether politically motivated or not, the lack of interest from mainstream media outlets speaks volumes. Finally, Jim highlights his excellent reporting on numerous Chinese spy balloons over the U.S. and our allies in recent years. He also explains why the balloon going over Alaska should have raised many red flags - just as many as the balloon going over the continental U.S.

Chicago Hope? Bipartisan Cowardice, Biden's Bizarre Challenge Feb 08, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome a shred of hope that Chicago voters might elect a new mayor who seems much more serious about crime - but they are not holding their breath. They also break down some of the biggest moments from President Biden's State of the Union on Tuesday - from bipartisan cowardice on entitlements, to Biden's delusions on energy, and more. Finally, they break down Biden's stunningly brief and vague comments on China and his bizarre, angry challenge to name one world leader who would want to trade places with Xi Xinping. Short answer? A lot of them.

Ignoring Entitlements, Trump Balloon Confusion, State of Boredom Feb 07, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they present two bad martinis and a crazy one. First, they highlight House Speaker Kevin McCarthy saying Social Security and Medicare cuts are not on the table in the fight over the debt ceiling. That rebuts Biden's false accusation but it also highlights how neither party has any intention of doing the work necessary to shore up these programs headed towards insolvency. They're also dizzy from the conflicting explanations of Chinese spy balloons during the Trump years. After Biden officials saying Trump did nothing about three different balloons, we now have some saying the U.S. never detected those balloons while other defense and intelligence officials reportedly did know but chose not to tell President Trump. Finally, they groan and brace for the political drudgery and theater known as the State of the Union address.

Biden's Terrible Polls, Big Balloon Blunders, Buying Brady's Sand Feb 06, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they break down terrible polling numbers for President Biden from two different sources - from approval to specific issues and more. Can the Republicans take advantage? They also walk through Biden's decisions on the Chinese spy balloon, with Jim laying out a very compelling case that Biden botched this challenge from beginning to end. Finally, their minds are blown at the news that people are willing to pay nearly $100,000 for a jar of sand purported to be from the spot where Tom Brady filmed his retirement announcement.

Big January Jobs Jump, China's Spy Balloon, Stay Home to Save the Climate? Feb 03, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome a January jobs report showing more than half a million new jobs, although they're more dubious as to whether Biden deserves the credit. They're also concerned about the spotting of a Chinese surveillance balloon over Montana near a key military site and discuss Biden's decision thus far not to shoot it down. Finally, they fume over the Biden administration's new climate agenda, which seeks to emulate the pandemic-era emissions levels by encouraging working Americans - and even students - to engage from home.

Blowing Up the Left's Border Narrative, Hunter Biden's Desperation, Feinstein's Waiting Game Feb 02, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer new Texas Rep. Wesley Hunt for blasting the left's narrative that conservative outrage over Biden border policies is rooted in racism rather than national security and trying to protect our communities from drug traffickers and human smugglers. They also respond to Hunter Biden imploring state and federal officials to prosecute people for accessing and disseminating his personal materials - a move which also admits once and for all that it was his laptop that President Biden and dozens of partisan intelligence operatives assured us was Russian disinformation. Finally, they wonder why California Sen. Dianne Feinstein insists on delaying the inevitable announcement that she will not seek re-election next year. They also assess Nancy Pelosi formally endorsing Adam Schiff in the Senate race.

More Classified Doc Drama, NIH Dereliction Exposed, GOP Field Growing Feb 01, 2023

Show notes

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss the FBI searching Biden's Delaware beach house for classified documents today and reports that the Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee are getting increasingly frustrated at the lack of information coming from the Justice Department. They also shake their heads as the HHS inspector general concludes the National Institutes of Health failed to keep close tabs on the gain of function research done in Wuhan and elsewhere that was paid for with taxpayer-funded grants. And they sigh as former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan strongly hints that he will run for president in 2024, even though there's very little chance he will make any ripples in the campaign at all.
