    Show notes

The Clippers had one of their worst losses of the season to the Hawks on Wednesday night, but Louis and Rob discuss why they aren't too worried about it. They then delve into the recent article dropped on the Athletic regarding tension in the Clippers locker room, and give their opinions on potential troubles and how real they might be. The guys turn to a related issue, which is press-player relations, and decry the use of "fake news" when describing a journalistic story.

TLTJTP: Clippers Picking Up Some Momentum & Trade Talk Jan 20, 2020
    Show notes

The Clippers have felt a bit up and down over the past few weeks, but there's some hope that they're picking up momentum heading into a road trip this week with a huge Laker matchup looming. Lucas Hann joins Rob and Shap to talk about this last batch of games, most recently a nice W in New Orleans against an improving Pelicans team. The guys also talk about Kawhi Leonard's recent torrid play and the playmaking of Pat Beverley. The crew ends with some trade talk as well as your questions on the latest episode of the Lob, the Jam, the Podcast!

Same Old Clippers: Grizzlies Loss, Inconsistent Effort, and a Lack of Fun Jan 07, 2020
    Show notes

The Clippers have lost twice recently, which means it's time for another episode of Same Old Clippers! Rob and Louis are joined by their second guest, Keith Parish of Fastbreak Breakfast and Grits and Grinds, to discuss what exactly happened in the Clippers' atrocious loss to the Grizzlies on Saturday. Keith makes the case for the Grizzlies as a solid team, one not necessarily worthy of being labeled a true bottom-dweller, and waxes poetic about the Grizzlies' youngsters. Then, the guys debate the Clippers' inconsistent effort throughout the season and how it has negatively effected the viewing experience. Finally, Rob and Louis deliver their usual disrespect, this time to Devin Booker and Kyle Kuzma.

TLTJTP: Clippers Finish Inconsistent Week 3-1 Jan 06, 2020
    Show notes

Well, that week was mostly not fun, but the Clips still ended up with a winning record. The Clippers have been inconsistent over the past few weeks, but finally have their roster intact and maybe have some time to get a few full practices in. They're fresh off an escape win against the Knicks (?), and a huge blowout loss to the Griz (?!?) the day before, and had some very uninspired late play against the Blake Griffin-less (yeah that one makes more sense) Pistons. Jae Crowder and Marcus Morris Sr. both gave compelling auditions this week, but are they the answer to the Clippers problems? Does this team need to make a move after a pretty mediocre week? All those questions as well as your Twitter questions on the latest episode of the Lob, the Jam, the Podcast!

TLTJTP: Recent Clippers Highs and Lows, Featuring Questions with Moe Harkless, Doc Rivers, and Kawhi Leonard Dec 31, 2019
    Show notes

The Clippers are still really good, and the last week caught some of their best strengths as well as their flaws. In the midst of all of that, the team also lost Patrick Beverley and dropped a winnable game against the Jazz. A good chunk of the team felt ill in that Jazz game, though many will scoff at it being the reason they lost (it might really be part of it though). That Lakers win was still exhilarating, however, and the guys briefly discuss that win as well. Shap also managed to ask Kawhi Leonard, Doc Rivers, and Moe Harkless some questions directly, much to his chagrin. All this and a ton of your Twitter questions on the latest episode of the Lob, the Jam, the Podcast!

Same Old Clippers: Are Clippers' Blown Leads Cause for Concern? Dec 24, 2019
    Show notes

The Clippers are 22-10, but have dropped three of their last five games, including two blown leads late to the Thunder and Rockets. Louis and Rob are back to discuss the Clippers' recent struggles, including whether or not a trade could help relieve some of their issues. The two then preview the Clippers' Christmas Day game against the Lakers and tangent into the dichotomy in the NBA between regular season game importance and the relatively minute impact of any one game in an 82 game schedule. Finally, they discuss former Clipper Blake Griffin and his horrendous start to the 2020 season.
