2 Dudes and a NES: A Nintendo Podcast

Latest Episodes:

Goonies II Sep 23, 2020

Show notes

We are finally back to talking about games and according to Dude Andy, this one is a guaranteed good game. Now, is it a good podcast? We'll let you decide. This episode we are talking about the Goonies II.

Not Goonies II Aug 25, 2020

Show notes

So we go on another hiatus and comeback with an episode that IS NOT about the game we promised. We're the worst. However, we promise this is a quality episode about a variety of topics including:

COVID-19
College Football
Donkey Kong Country
Tony Hawk Pro Skater
Tony Hawk's Twitter Account
Super Mario 64 (L is Real)
Apple Antitrust
Roblox
Spotify vs. Apple Music
Camping/Vacationing with Kids
Beach Trips as an Adult
Metallica

Hopefully somewhere in there you can find something to listen to while we prepare a Goonies II episode. Thank you guys for sticking around "during these trying times."

Tecmo Super Bowl Jun 16, 2020

Show notes

Here it is. We discuss arguably the greatest sports game of all time thanks to a Patreon Pick from Tyler! We don't want to hear it if we didn't discuss it to your liking, we pulled out all stops on this one: two hours long, Namo Gamo on as guests, the word poop on at least four occasions, throwback to #SweetFeed. This episode is a winner.

Be sure to check out Namo Gamo's game Basketball Classics on Steam. It truly is what Tecmo Super Bowl would be if it was a basketball game.

Stanley: The Search for Dr. Livingston Jun 02, 2020

Show notes

The dudes are joined by JZNES on this classic style episode: only about 10 minutes of tangents at the start, a quiz game, plenty of game talk. So you guys are in for a real treat with this one.

Kid Klown May 19, 2020

Show notes

Ain't no klowning around on this episode. Ah, who are we kidding? Skip 25 minutes in again if you want to get to game talk, but you'll miss out on a great "Ask Justin" segment.

Adventures of Tom Sawyer May 06, 2020

Show notes

Another episode, another round of non-game talk. Skip to around 25 minutes if you want pure game talk, but there is a lot of good Michael and Justin nostalgia at the beginning if you're in the mood.

Holy Diver Apr 14, 2020

Show notes

The Dudes discuss their first Japanese exclusive game! That is if you can get past the COVID-19 talk. Seriously, just skip to about 20 minutes into the podcast and ignore all that virus talk at the beginning.

What would a game named after the Dio album Holy Diver be like? Well for starters, it's Japanese only. For other crazy information and game discussion about this very "metal" game, tune in!

Solomon's Key Mar 10, 2020

Show notes

The Dudes are back baby! It's been a long 6 months, but hopefully it was all worth the wait as Justin and Michael sit down to talk about Brother Andrew's Patreon Pick... Solomon's Key!

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest Aug 27, 2019

Show notes

Michael and Justin sit down to finish off the NES Castlevania games. Does this one stack up to Castlevania I and III? Tune in to find out.

P.S. If you aren't a fan of the band TOOL, skip to 10 minutes. There's quite the tangent at the beginning of the show.
