Watching The Covers Flow

Watching the Covers Flow is a podcast that dives deep into covers of, and by, the most covered songwriter in rock and roll: Bob Dylan. Host Ray Padgett (Flagging Down the Double E’s newsletter, Pledging My Time book) explores covers across era and genre, from a hip-hop “Subterranean Homesick Blues” to a bluegrass “Ring Them Bells” to Dylan’s own frequent detours from writing his own songs to singing other people’s.

Shallow Rewards

Town decrier 1975-2025. Celebrating the days of advertised oversampling ratios.

Church Jams Now!

The podcast where three former youth group kids and current music nerds deep dive into Christian music of the 90s and 2000s. We revisit records track-by-track, sometimes with the artists who made the records. You’ll also hear artist interviews, Bop 10 song rankings, and more!

1001 Album Complaints

Classic albums’ full backstories told by musicians who love to nitpick the details, now with >1M downloads.

We do all the research, help you better understand why you love the things you love, plus introduce you to new music and musical ideas you should care about. Want to sound informed, intelligent, and funny when talking about music, even the records you don’t like? Want to laugh while you learn more about music production and music history? Then welcome to your new favorite weekly podcast.

Just Add Music (with Minna)

Hi! Welcome to Just Add Music, a podcast for the music curious, aspiring music makers and anyone in need of a  creative companion on a lonely day.

My name is Minna. I’m a professional composer living in the Bay Area. 15 years ago I started an orchestra called The Magik*Magik Orchestra and have composed music for hundreds of bands, filmmakers, artists on creative projects of all kinds.

The one thing I wish someone had told me when I was younger was that you don’t need to be a star to make a good living doing what you love. It took me 30 years to finally trust my intuitive musical voice. I hope that by listening to this podcast, I can help speed up that process for you and help remove unnecessary roadblocks to your own creative intuitions.

If you have ever been curious to explore making music for fun or as a career but wondered what the day to day was like, I invite you to take a listen. The format is casual and unscripted. Just a lunch between two friends talking music, craft and business.

Welcome!
