Bloodthirsty Hearts

Friends growing apart happens, but creatures crashing a fantasy convention… not so much.
Five high schoolers bonded over the Bloodthirsty Hearts novel series turned slightly-erotic movie franchise as kids, and now it’s what brings them back together for the first-ever fan convention. However, what starts as fun and games quickly turns into a fight-for-your-life event as creatures from the same universe invade. Will the childhood friends be able to work past their differences and survive the night? Perhaps their shared obsession will prove to be useful after all…

Power Trip

My name is Jane, and I can make you do whatever I want. If you think I’m going to say ‘just kidding!’ think again. My wish is also my command.

Being chronically ill means you have the best seat on the perpetual struggle bus. Thanks to the very sexy diagnosis of end-stage kidney disease I was always missing out: on my dream writing career, finding love (bah humbug, but one can hope…right?)…even literally missing my daily train to get to work because I’d trip and fall on my cane. Classic Jane: basketcase.

But thanks to a black-market kidney donation giving me mysterious powers, the tables have turned. Now I get drinks on the house, dates whenever I want them, writing opportunities that actually pay the bills… for the first time, people take me seriously. Because I make them.

The downside? (There always is one.) Keeping the truth hidden. That’s where my new crew comes in: individually, we’re a bunch of freaks with secrets no one in our lives can know, but together, we’re the ones finally running the show.

Power Trip is a Realm production starring Tatiana Maslany, written by Mary Hamilton, additional writing by Cara Horner, and featuring performances by Brendan Hines and Lisa Loeb. Listen Away.

Curl Up & D.I.

Gemma and Andy are two feckless coppers patrolling the mean streets of Slatby, a faded North Yorkshire seaside town with an unsolved murder problem. With conventional leads exhausted, local hairstylists, gossipmongers and armchair crime-solvers Yacky and Reuben are enlisted, and their salon unwittingly and illegally becomes the beating heart of all ongoing detective operations. Welcome to the murky hinterlands of soft perms and slaughter.
Curl Up & D.I. is a Folding Pocket production, written by Tony Pitts and starring Katherine Kelly, Vic Reeves, Morgana Robinson, Mark Benton, Burn Gorman, Tony Pitts, Tomi May, Nancy Sorrell, Jennifer Saayeng, Kevin Eldon, Bill Fellows, Adam Gillen, Charlotte Lucas and Georgia Sansom. Produced in association with Make Me Films.

Conference Call

Starring Elizabeth Henstridge, Jeff Ward, Gregory Stees and Emma Roberts, Conference Call follows Julie Burke as she partners with eccentric entrepreneurs “The Toade Bros.” Julie patiently helps the Toades desperately pitch their half-baked ideas to a string of bewildered investors. Poring over hours of cringeworthy recorded phone calls from this oddball tech company, our (fake) investigative podcaster, Charlotte Dunn, delivers a story of incompetence, fraud, and betrayal. After the Toades manage to do the unthinkable, Julie is left with no choice but to take action.

The Co-Founder

Starring Sunita Mani and Alexandra Shipp, two young start-up founders, both women of color, are on the brink of losing their company; a fate they narrowly avoid thanks to a hairbrained scheme to have their neighborhood barista— a white dude, of course— pretend to be the third founder in order to raise money. But when the barista reveals he has a scheme of his own to keep the company in his clutches, hijinks and hilarity ensue.

Valerie and Juliet are more than just best friends: they are business partners in the cutthroat world of Silicon Valley, where their video game startup is on the verge of failure. They are exhausted: between running out of capital and being treated like dirt during their fundraising meetings with big-deal finance bros, they need a win, or it’s game-over. They need…a white guy.

It was only supposed to be one meeting; one meeting where neighborhood barista and Random White Dude Toby Johnson pretended to be a co-founder to clinch the investment cash. But one million dollars later, Toby shows no signs of going with grace. Instead, he plots to entrench himself further into their company, which he had no part in founding, and unless Valerie and Juliet want the truth to come out—and to kiss their company goodbye—they have to play along.

But Valerie and Juliet have been playing together since they were young. That’s why they started a video game company; and to save it, they are willing to break all the rules.

The Co-Founder is a Realm production, starring Sunita Mani and Alexandra Shipp, and written by Alexis Wilkinson, Alexa Wejko, and Mimi Mondal. Listen Away.
