American Vigilante

KC is the American Vigilante - A hugely complex, intelligent, contradictory man who could save your life but end it too. Who leads a group of violent men standing on the blurred line between right and wrong, between revenge and redemption. A man you want on your side when it all falls apart. American Vigilante is true crime, but so much more. It’s saving abducted children, it’s stepping beyond the law. It’s rescue missions, assassination attempts and last-gasp protection. It’s all the stuff you hope never comes to you, until it does. Former BBC Journalist Sam Walker presents this Crowd Network original. She’s been speaking to KC for months and has recorded everything he’s told her. You’ll need to listen to make your own mind up, but you might never be the same again. It’s shocking, inspiring, frightening and thought-provoking. It’ll change how you see the world, and it might change how you move within it.   Everyone thinks they’re safe, until they aren’t. Everyone thinks they know how they’ll react, until the darkness comes. Read More

Join award-winning filmmaker and noted curmudgeon Alan Zweig for refreshingly honest conversations with “notable people” about the worst things in life.

Alan has no interest in best-selling books or Hollywood triumphs, and doesn’t know (or care) much about his guests. They Called Her Georgia Lee…

In August of 1997, 12-year-old Georgia Leah Moses went missing in Santa Rosa, California. Nine days later, her body was discovered along the 101 Freeway in Petaluma, about 20 miles south of her last known whereabouts.

In spite of many leads and an eye witness description of the last person she was seen with, no one has been arrested or charged in her abduction, rape, and murder.

After 24 years with no movement in the case, Angel (Georgia's younger sister) has taken the investigation into her own hands. Since the case is still technically active, resources were limited and information was scarce.

So, in 2020, she started from scratch. Retracing every step and every avenue she could think of to gather information on her own. She began reaching out to friends, family, law enforcement, and the residents of Sonoma County to try and piece together the full picture of Georgia's tragic death.

In October of 2020 I joined Angel in her hunt for justice, hoping that my history in Sonoma County and my father's connection to the Sheriff's department might help us get some footing with those who have been holding on to her case all this time. But honestly, it was a long shot to begin with, because if next of kin can't get a straight answer, then how would I?

Although there are many hurdles facing us, we did get some answers and from some pretty unexpected places. However, with every question we checked off our list, more questions arose.

As the months pass and we dig deeper into what was really going on with Georgia in the last year of her life, a story filled with twists, turns and shocking revelations continues to unfold.

Transmissions From Jonestown

On November 18, 1978, in Jonestown, Guyana, over 900 people died in one of the largest mass murder-suicides in modern history. Locked deep within an FBI vault, the audio tapes documenting the rise and fall of Peoples Temple were sealed away until they were finally made public more than 20 years later. Transmissions from Jonestown is a true crime podcast and investigative audio documentary that exposes the untold story of Peoples Temple and the Jonestown tragedy using rare archival recordings, interviews with survivors, and original research. The Clearing – Terrance Phoebe

There are plenty of sayings about family. You can even buy them etched on wood and scatter them around the house. ‘You don’t have to be mad to live here but it helps…’ or just ‘family is everything.’ April Balascio would probably like to make a giant bonfire of these signs. She had always been afraid that her father was up to no good but at 40, when she pieced together her childhood of endlessly moving home, she called a detective with her suspicions. Edward Wayne Edwards, it turns out, was a serial killer and April had supplied the missing piece for a swathe of cold cases. Read More
