The Brave OT Podcast

The Brave OT Podcast with Carlyn Neek is all about empowering occupational therapists to step-up, level-up, blaze some trails, and maybe engage in a little conscious rebellion in service of the profession, our clients, our work, our businesses, and living our mission wholeheartedly. We are all about keeping it real, doing hard things, unhuslting, being curious, trying new things, growing through our challenges, and finding joy and fulfillment along the way. Really, we are OTing ourselves and each other. All of the intro and outro music was graciously provided by Hal Curties, a local Calgary musician and someone who has contributed to my personal and professional growth in so many ways. Read More

IntroVETS Podcast

IntroVETS is a veterinary podcast by introverts with high-functioning anxiety. The show was conceptualized in 2019 and launched in 2020 by co-hosts Lauren and JJ. Lauren, a veterinarian, and Jennifer, a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Alabama, have over 40 years of combined experience in the veterinary field. The podcast presents veterinary case studies in a fun and relatable way, along with various sidebars, interesting facts, and new research. The hosts talk frankly about anxiety and other mental health concerns, going to therapy, and related topics. There is (hopefully) a strong humor element, as well as some philosophizing and opinion sharing. There is also the occasional moderately naughty word, but we try to not use the big guns. It's not really a formal environment - it's more of a veterinary hang, and we'd love to see you there! Read More

Tiny Living Beings

Tiny Living Beings is a weekly podcast where listeners get to know a scientist, a weird microorganism they like, and why they think it’s interesting. Our planet is full of billions of different microscopic organisms, most of which are still unknown to science. The ones we do know are diverse and strange. Microbiology knowledge is often gatekept by scientists who discuss this information in exclusive professional circles, but more of these topics need to be shared with the public! Although generally upbeat and fun, conversations often tangentially address frustrations with society or become existential, which, because of the time we are living through, is inherently connected to any discussion of topical scientific information. Content is geared toward all ages and backgrounds, anyone who is scientifically curious.

The Big Disaster: The Big Burn

From LAist Studios, the creators of The Big One, the second season of The Big Disaster series will provide you with a wildfire survival guide that includes not just tangible safety tips — but hope for our future.  As the world enters a new age of wildfires, science reporter Jacob Margolis hosts Season 2: The Big Burn, a deep dive into personal stories that illuminate the history of how we got here, why we keep screwing things up, and what we can do to survive and maybe even thrive while the world around us burns.

Season 1: The Big One -  When The Big One hits it’ll take under two minutes for more than 10 million Southern Californians to lose internet, power, and a sense of security. Host Jacob Margolis and Producer Misha Euceph take you on a journey to understand what the catastrophic earthquake will mean for Los Angeles, the U.S., and the world.
