Two months later, investigators found their remains, as well as a backpack with a digital camera filled with photos that hinted at a darker story. What happened to Kris and Lisanne? In this investigative series, journalists Mariana Atencio and Jeremy Kryt retrace the last steps of the doomed women. Their search for the truth immerses them in eight years’ worth of conflicting evidence, testimonies, and rumors, as on-the-ground witnesses in Panama come forward for the first time. A More – or less – Perfect Union… what matters most to Americans as elections approach

Take heed, candidates for office and all Americans debating their vote in November: Here we are once more eyeing an election that could chart the course of American democracy going forward.

And as we have since the momentous 2016 and 2022 elections, CITIZENARTS’ newest episode in the A More - or less - Perfect Union series, A More - or less - Perfect Union 2024, shows us just how much ‘We the People’ continue to have some pressing issues on our minds.

This fourth episode of the podcast series tells a story of stunning and continuing change in America’s thinking and attitudes over the last eight years.

For the third time – 2016, 2022, now 2024 – we’ve gathered a cross-section of Americans for a national conversation, bringing together many original participants from the documentary film and prior episodes – also welcoming some new voices. In A More – or less – Perfect Union 2024, we present another in-depth, substantive exploration of some of the issues and events that may matter most to Americans as the election approaches. Is what divides us more entrenched? Is there hope for common ground? Some topics remain priority topics from the past two elections – reproductive rights, climate change. But in 2024, our panelists centered on what was working for them and what wasn’t, including inflation, immigration policy, candidates’ age, how race and gender, and criminal indictments, will impact voters, and more -- reflective of how the US has evolved and where people’s priorities lie.

What remains constant is this: the margins in 2024 are close, underscoring the reality that every single vote truly matters. Americans need to vote; Americans better vote.

Running Into the Fire – Terri Hasdorff

The United States is in great political turmoil. With the unending clash of ideas and beliefs, as well as the looming threat of socialism, the country’s future feels dark and cloudy. In these troubling times, people of faith turn to God for hope and spend more time in prayer. Many avoid the complicated world of politics. While prayer is essential, Terri Hasdorff believes Christians must also become more directly involved. Now is the time to put America back on the right path. People of faith must rise up to resist injustice, oppression, and corruption. Terri invites you to make a stand starting here on Running Into The Fire. This show sheds light on the intersection of faith and politics. It highlights how to be proactive and create significant change. If you want to get involved but do not know where to begin or feel discouraged by the dirty side of politics, this podcast will give you hope that you can make a difference.  Join Terri as she sits down with faith leaders and people in power. Together, they delve into the political nitty gritty, providing valuable insights and interesting perspectives. These conversations examine the fruits of this complex and powerful world and go deep into the roots of the problem. Most importantly, every episode touches on political topics from the lens of Christian teachings. Terri brings to the podcast her vast political knowledge and experience. At a young age, her eyes opened to the wrath of socialism when she became part of a student exchange program to the Soviet Union. She saw first-hand how socialism is about replacing God with government and freedom with tyranny.  Standing at the crossroads of faith and politics, Terri knows the ins and outs of both worlds. Working side by side with politicians, consultants, donors, fundraisers, lawmakers, and even non-profit faith communities, she leads every discussion about the hard truths of the political world through the lens of a Christian worldview.  Be the agent of change you are seeking in your community.
