Classic Tales and New Laughs from Twain to Today

Comedy is the oldest trick in the book (or the short story), and HumorUs goes digging for the funniest classic tales with a few new ones sprinkled in. Each episode is one short story, narrated with care and a raised eyebrow. Bureaucratic guinea pigs that simply will not stop multiplying, courtesy of Ellis Parker Butler. A backwoods divorce that doubles right back into a wedding, by way of O. Henry. A shipwreck that strands exactly the wrong man, from the dry wit of W.W. Jacobs. A town so devoted to oversight it forms a committee to oversee the committees. Some of these tales are a hundred years old. Some are brand new. All of them prove the same stubborn little fact, that a good laugh never goes out of print. So pour something, settle in, and let the great humorists, famous and forgotten alike, humor us. A comedy fiction podcast from Short Storyverses.

All episodes are narrated by professional voice actor, Don McDonald.

Please help me out. If HumorUs makes you smile, please take ten seconds to give the show five stars in Apple Podcasts. A couple of recent one-star ratings (one stating that I am actually AI) have had an outsized effect on this young show. Your rating genuinely helps. Thanks.

Summer, 1989, somewhere in deepest darkest England. Mockery Manor is a theme park where people disappear, and it's up to a pair of chaotic teenage twins to catch a killer.

British Podcast Awards 'Best Fiction' Nominee 2020. If you like Widow's Bay, Hot Fuzz, and Only Murders In The Building, then Mockery Manor is for you.

Mockery Manor is a full-cast production best enjoyed using headphones.

In this improvised narrative role playing podcast, come and join artists, writers, and comedians from Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, Marvel Comics, and more as they fight and fumble their way across the madcap, and exceedingly rude, fantasy wasteland of Cordelia. Branson Reese and his jester's retinue, Christopher Hastings, Carly Monardo, Tim Platt, Joe Lepore, and Ali Fisher star as a group of unlikely survivors (a talking crow, a lich in a wig, a bubbly fawn, a Sasquatch punk, and a tiefling hunk, specifically) who must solve the mystery of Polaris University's vanishment and return balance and higher education to their world. It's going to be very hard and very, very, rude.

An all-ages cooperative storytelling podcast created using Dungeons and Dragons, brought to you by NADDPOD’s Caldwell and professional animators Bri, Kiana, and Raj. Together, they will take you on weekly, half-hour adventures through the world of Foralla, where they will battle magical beasts, explore their deepest (and weirdest) dreams, and work to get ever closer to finding… The Fantastic Castle!

It’s all the fun and excitement of D&D, without the cussing and filthy jokes that make most other D&D shows awkward to listen to with your family. Everyone is welcome in the Fantastic Castle!
