Continuing our series of episodes with children in Australia, this episode features 7-year-old friends Margot and Ivy. We talked about the songs and movies that make them laugh-- have you heard the “Never-ending poop song”?—and a few that scare them—like E.T. and Wednesday. They have little interest in TikTok and really aren’t sure what people use it for. Although that doesn’t stop them from knowing a few TikTok dances. But the item they can’t wait to have? a mobile phone! That, and access to the Taylor Swift concert movie. They know the words to lots of her songs—of course! We talked about Bluey, Minecraft, and loads more. Give it a listen. Hear real kids in their own words talking about the media in their lives. I hope you enjoy this episode.
