When the perpetrator realized that she was awake he started stabbing her as well. She was probably unconscious for a while, but when she came to, she called emergency services to get help. She was badly wounded and hadn’t yet realized that her husband was already dead. Ambulance and police were sent to the beautiful summer cabin in Granliden, outside of the city of Arboga in the middle of Sweden. This was the beginning of what would become one of Sweden’s most infamous murder cases.

    36. The school attack Dec 15, 2019
    Show notes

On 22 October 2015, 21-year-old Anton Lundin Pettersson entered the Kronan School in the town of Trollhättan, armed with a huge sword. His mission was to kill, but some students thought he was pranking, I guess the situation was so unreal.

We don’t really have school shootings here in Sweden, I guess because it’s much more difficult for a Swedish teenager to get a hold of a gun. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have frustrated teenagers. And even if you are armed with a sword, the damage you can cause is horrible.

    35. Jaan Norrby Nov 20, 2019
    Show notes

On December 17, 2004, a bank robbery takes place at a local bank in the city of Söderhamn. A man walked into the bank with a gun and demanded the tellers to hand over all the money they had. The robber got away with about 70 000 dollars.

When the hunt for the robber begins, the police officers out searching has no idea that the person they are looking for are not only a fellow police officer, he is also participating in the search for himself.

This is the absurd story of a police officer on duty – who decided to rob a bank.
