BRIEFING: THE TWO-STATE DELUSION Sep 16, 2026

Show notes

In this briefing I respond to the unrelenting promotion of what I call the "two-state delusion" by the British government and several of its international allies.
I challenge proponents of the moribund two-state "solution" in several ways.

Poses Four Direct Questions For Them To Answer: Via these I challenge the blatant impracticability, security liabilities, and sheer hypocrisy of the land-for-peace fantasy.
Western Appeasement: I outline the pandering of international leaders to their domestic agitators by punishing the State of Israel.
People In Glass Houses: With calls from Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to cede from union, I suggest Britains's leadership would do better to get their own house in order before voicing their unwanted counsel to Israel.

Briefing: Gaza Diplomacy & Northern Threats Aug 18, 2026

Show notes

In this briefing, Yaakov Lappin, In-House Analyst at The MirYam Institute, details rising U.S.-Israel friction over Gaza’s future following Jared Kushner’s meetings with Hamas in Cairo and Netanyahu in Jerusalem. He warns that Hamas’s proposal to store, rather than destroy, its weapons is merely a stall tactic.
Regarding Lebanon, Lappin notes the Lebanese Armed Forces’ failure to disarm Hezbollah and highlights IAF strikes near Ali Tahir Ridge, stressing that Israel must retain long-term military control of border buffer zones.

BRIEFING: DISARMING HAMAS & ACRONYMS WITHOUT MEANING Aug 04, 2026

Show notes

In this lively situational briefing, I sit down with John Spencer, Senior Analyst at The MirYam Institute.

Returning from fact-finding trips to Gaza and southern Lebanon, John outlines his reasons for optimism and for concern regarding the "Board of Peace" proposal for Hamas disarmament, highlighting the importance of US verification, civil governance, and phased decommissioning.

I counter with resolute pushback rooted in Israeli security realities and priorities —dismissing unproven acronyms, rejecting Palestinian statehood, and arguing against the fallacy of Jihadist groups disarming.

Together, we debate international stabilization forces, Saudi normalization demands, Egyptian culpability for October 7th, and requirements for long-term regional security.

BRIEFING: IRAN VS. U.S. & ISRAEL'S RED LINES Jul 14, 2026

Show notes

In this situational briefing, MirYam's In-House Analyst Yaakov Lappin outlines three security priorities for Israel:

US-Iran Gulf Conflict: As the MoU lies in tatters and Iran and the U.S. trade strikes, what are the red lines that Israel must declare and strictly enforce.
Lebanon Pilot Program: A US-brokered test calls for the deployment of the Lebanese Armed Forces (L.A.F.) in southern Lebanon with a view to keeping the area clear of Hezbollah. But can L.A.F. be depended on to do that?
IDF Personnel Crisis: Severe troop shortages have prompted societal and military demands for the government to enlist ultra-Orthodox Israelis into the Israel Defense Forces. This is coupled with a written alert from the IDF Chief of Staff warning of the dangers of any legislation that seeks to exempt the ultra-religious from military service.
