This is the premiere of The Dreamery Sessions; a show that brings you conversations about people using technology to transform how teaching and learning happen at Penn State and beyond. Hosts Ray Schmitt and Zach Lonsinger are part of Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT), and in this episode they investigate four themes that characterize reconstructing higher education through technology; Digital fluency, Innovation, Creativity, and Emerging technology.
Four experts join Ray and Zach to provide insight and context around each of these themes. Jennifer Sparrow, associate vice president of TLT, talks digital fluency; Kyle Bowen, TLT's director of innovation, goes into innovation; Ryan Wetzel, manager of creative learning initiatives at TLT, hits on creativity; and Bart Pursel, assistant director of innovation at TLT, investigates emerging technology. These conversations provide important understanding on each of the DICE themes and set the stage for an exciting first season of The Dreamery Sessions.
