This, no doubt, will be one of the most unusual Nashville Chats we will ever post. The world, or so we're told, is in an unbelievable state of euphoria over the rising stardom of 90's tribute band, The Hot Country Knights. After more than 3 decades of wasted years and countless bad decisions, founder Doug Douglason and the boys find themselves staring at the doors of The Country Music Hall of Fame, with high hopes of being inducted. Of course that will likely happen on a 20 degree day in hell, but it doesn't deter this band of noble musicians in their quest to take their rightful place in the world of country music....wherever that might be. Gaining fame lately as part of Dierk's Bentley's tour, the band's leader Doug Douglason steps forward to deny that he and Dierks are one in the same. He's quick to point out that he has not only inspired Dierks to climb the ladder to stardom, but many more top country artists as well. Join Dierks, er uh Doug, as he discusses the bands questionable past, their sexy shows, and how they couldn’t just sit back and watch country let its proud 90s heritage droop and sag. Oh, and heads up, they have a new album as well called THE HOT COUNTRY KNIGHTS...THE K IS SILENT.. Hang on, here we go.
