In this episode of Faith and Family Fellowship, Dallas interviews techno thriller author Michael V. Gordon on his newest release, "Ascension".
Even as a young child Michael was always conjuring up stories and filling them with colorful characters. As he entered his post-teenage years it became apparent that religion proved to be fascinating as it contained three subjects that he enjoyed most - God, history, and science. In college, he served as a photojournalist and even interviewed a few celebrities. Back in those days, he had to type his stories on a typewriter and develop his own photos in a darkroom.

Michael always enjoyed reading, particularly thrillers and non- fiction. Of special interest were various versions of the Bible, as well as other religious works. Like many people, he dreamed of one day writing his own books and finally decided to take the plunge. Michael released his first non-fiction work Tainted DNA in June 2019.

No Greater Love with Artist and Author Charlita Houston Oct 23, 2020

In this episode of Faith and Family Fellowship, Dallas interviews guest, Artist and Author Charlita Houston aka Lita Colón.
Charlita started singing at a very early age. When she moved to California from Cleveland, Ohio in 1986 her love for music became more apparent. Charlita began singing in the church gospel choirs, local ensembles and touring with her family. In 2005 Charlita ventured out as a solo artist. She began writing and producing her own music and was soon opening up for artist such as Oleta Adams, Tramaine Hawkins, Walter Hawkins, Jason Nelson and some of the bay area finest. In 2008 Charlita recorded her first multi single entitled “Go On” and partnered with sponsors to do a benefit concert for the people in Uganda. For several years Charlita began working with local choirs on voice training and proper technique. In 2016 Charlita graduated from Diablo Valley College receiving her AA in Music and transferred to Cal State East Bay where she received her BA in the spring of 2018. Charlita then went on to teach music for grades 5-8 at Bilingual Middle School. Charlita has published her first book entitled “No Greater Love”, and is a wife to a pastor with three lovely daughters. Charlita loves spending time with her family, being apart of support groups and assisting the community however she can.

Selling Everything and Moving my Family to Guatemala: Interview with George Sisneros Dec 13, 2019

It is one thing to move overseas as a missionary, it is another thing when you bring your family with you. Eight years ago, George Sisneros received a revelation from God while on his first missions trip to Guatemala. Shortly after his return, God spoke to him to sell everything and pursue full-time missions with his family.

Since landing in 2012, together with over 130 partners, they have built 12 homes, given 2500 people access to clean, safe, drinking water and helped more than 200 people get critical medical help. They have also established and built a private Christian middle school in rural Guatemala. They operate a ministry named “Ordinary Missionaries” building houses, providing safe drinking water, and helping the poor in crises. Just a year ago George and his wife adopted four Guatemalan children.

He continued, " I never envisioned I would be producing the entire album, but after I finished the first song, I found out how much I loved the process. William Turner's Interview

William Turner spent his formative years in New England. He was educated in the private, parochial school system, and is presently retired from State service (State of California), as a supervisor. He has one son (Ontonio), and three grandchildren. His grandson is serving in the United States Air Force. His daughter-in-law, Bridgette, is a practicing pediatrician.

William had aspired--so long ago--to be a priest but felt at the time he had not been exposed enough to life to walk away and close the monastery door. His subsequent exposure to life sullied him beyond any aspiration to the priesthood. William now lives in Lancaster, California, spending much of his time doing penance, reflecting on his countless errors in judgment.

William's penchant for writing mysteries stems from his exposure to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories and those of Agatha Christie. His mentor was Sister Agnes Bernard--his high school English teacher.

Musician, Counselor, and Friend of God: Brady Novotny Aug 20, 2019

Brady Novotny started playing the guitar at the age of 10. Determined to be a world-class guitarist, he left his first guitar lesson with his instructor telling him basically to give it up now. Thus he was introduced to criticism and disappointment early in his endeavor. Nevertheless, Brady heard a guitar player that would motivate him to push all that aside and re-energize his passion to continue; that guitar player was Randy Rhoads. Brady soon fell in love with classical and melodic guitar playing. Brady practiced restlessly learning everything from classical pieces, melodic and virtuosic solos from 80's guitar heroes, to jazz fusion.

Brady loved the guitar, and truly, that has been his passion. He attended Berklee College of Music for a little time. At the age of 19, he was asked to teach the summer guitar workshop at Duquesne University. As life often happens, however, Brady got burned out and went back to school and received his Masters in Psychology. Yep, that's right -- Psychology. But the passion is back and stronger than ever, plus it never hurts to have some money!

Brady set out to do an instrumental project that would have his listeners singing the haunting melodies while holding their attention by uniquely placed guitar virtuosity and dynamic rhythms creating a fusion of rock, flamenco, and jazz. His love for a variety of musical styles led him to study under many teachers in his life. Brady started out playing Classical guitar at the age of 10. Ever since then, Brady has had a strong affection for nylon string guitar sound. Ultimately, this led him to study Flamenco guitar. He immediately fell in love with the passion, virtuosity, and rhythm of this style. The shred of the ’80s was one of his main influences and guilty pleasures, while Jazz was a big influence on Brady’s chordal choices and song color.

Brady has a wide range of experience in the music business. His experience ranges from the Pittsburgh rock scene to national tours. He has worked as a Pittsburgh session guitarist, Worship leader, and guitarist at several mega-churches. He has also taught guitar at clinics and universities.

His 2019 release with MTS Management Group/MTS Records is “Passions Collide” featuring the lead single, “Redemption’s Cry.” The song, featuring a hauntingly beautiful vocal from Brady’s wife, Jennifer, is currently charting on the Airplay Today national radio charts.
