Back in 2016 I was living a life completely not meant for me. Founded on the basis of people pleasing, I was In the wrong relationship, working a soul draining 9-5 I had no interest in, living somewhere I didn't want to plant roots at...life was backwards.During this time, I found Yoga Girl, aka Rachel Brathen, on Instagram and immediately felt seen. Felt heard. Her captions felt like they were written just for me. I felt like her and I were so similar, and that if she could make her Caribbean dreams come true... I could too.She was on a nation wide yoga tour when I first shared a room with her. There were hundreds of people, so she didn't notice me. Nor did I wait in line to introduce myself after. I walked out of the auditorium after Shavasana in tears... because that was the life I so desperately wanted to live. I wanted to impact and influence that many people to connect back to their hearts. I wanted to travel. I wanted to catch a flight early the next morning to my beautiful home on an island. But I wasn't. I was so far from it, it seemed like it just wouldn't happen in this life.
Fast forward five years.... her and I are sharing a podcast stage together, talking about the journey to success. Enjoy.
