Disney Believe: Are We Sold on Disney's Newest Cruise Ship? – MOW #650 Oct 14, 2026
    Show notes

Disney has revealed the Disney Believe—but are we ready to come aboard? Kevin, Danny, and Eli explore Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, from its Moana-inspired Grand Hall and Frozen dining experience at Oaken's Table to its themed lounges, cafés, and extravagant Magic Kingdom-inspired tower suite.

The new Encanto stage production catches our attention, while Big Hero Sips, the Zootopia entertainment venue, and a stargazing pub that doubles as a sports bar spark some debate. We also discuss Tangled: The Musical, the returning Haunted Mansion Parlor, and whether the Believe has enough personality to stand apart from the Wish, Treasure, and Destiny.

Along the way, we share our reactions to the reveal presentation and pitch a few changes of our own—including a Snuggly Duckling piano bar, Hercules-inspired dining, and more adventurous restaurant options.

Which experience would get you aboard the Disney Believe—and what would you change? Let us know! Every opinion is welcome on Magic Our Way.

This is episode #650. All opinions welcome on this podcast.

Kevin, Danny, and Eli review Behind the Castle Walls, exploring Chapek's Disney career, his account of the conflict with Bob Iger, and his emphasis on disruption and financial results. From The Return of Jafar to park pricing and leadership during COVID, we discuss what the book explains, what it leaves us questioning, and whether understanding Chapek better means judging his leadership differently. Have you read it? Let us know what you think. All opinions are welcome!

Disney: Believe It or Not – Strange Stories From the Parks | Episode 648 Sep 30, 2026
    Show notes

Some Disney stories sound too strange to be true. And yet…here we are.

This week on Magic Our Way, Kevin, Danny, and Eli open the files on some of the strangest stories, unusual details, and downright bizarre bits of Disney theme park history.

In Disney: Believe It or Not, we take inspiration from the classic oddities shows: first comes the impossible-sounding setup, then the reveal, followed by the real details behind the story. From unusual design decisions and hidden pieces of park history to stories that have taken on lives of their own, we separate what actually happened from what only sounds like it could have.

Some you'll know. Some may surprise you. And a few might have you asking, "Wait…Disney really did that?"

Rachel is out this week, so Kevin, Danny, and Eli are handling the case files.

    Believe it…or not!

What Disney story sounds completely unbelievable to you but is actually true? Let us know!

The Future of Themed Disney Cruises: Our Ideas Set Sail! – Part 2 | Episode 647 Sep 23, 2026
    Show notes

Last time, Disney Cruise Line gave us the ideas. This time, we're taking over.

In Part 2 of our discussion about the future of themed Disney cruises, Kevin, Danny, Eli, and Rachel put on their Armchair Imagineering hats and pitch the specialty sailings THEY would create for Disney Cruise Line.

And nobody knew what anyone else was bringing to the table.

Rachel comes prepared with two very different possibilities: a Taylor Swift-inspired sailing packed with music, themed nights, and plenty of opportunities for Swifties to spend money—and "C23," essentially D23 at Sea, complete with Imagineers, Disney history, archival material, models, panels, and plenty of exclusive merchandise.

    Then things get nostalgic.

Danny transforms an entire Disney cruise ship into a celebration of extinct Disney attractions, reimagining everything from the atrium and restaurants to onboard entertainment with tributes to Horizons, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Kitchen Kabaret, Spirit of Aloha, and other pieces of Disney history.

Eli takes a trip into another dimension with a Twilight Zone-inspired voyage filled with lost Disney objects, retired attractions, classic animatronics, and some wonderfully strange possibilities.

Finally, Kevin pitches Adventures on the High Seas—a four-night sailing where every day becomes a completely different Disney adventure. Guests receive an Adventure Passport and become part of the story through family challenges, entertainment, activities, and experiences that can change from year to year.

Four hosts. Several very different cruise concepts. One imaginary unlimited Disney budget.

    Which one would YOU book?

It's time for our ideas to set sail.

Episode 647 | The Future of Themed Disney Cruises – Part 2

The Future of Themed Disney Cruises: WWE at Sea? – Part 1 | Episode 646 Sep 16, 2026
    Show notes

Disney Cruise Line may be looking beyond the traditional Disney cruise.

A recent Disney Cruise Line survey asked guests to rate several potential themed sailings, including a music festival at sea, an ESPN fantasy sports cruise, a special Castaway Club sailing, and even a cruise built around Disney pin trading.

So naturally, we put the ideas to the MOW crew.

Which ones would we actually book? Which could Rachel realistically sell? And which ideas should probably stay on the survey?

Then things take a very different turn.

As Disney and WWE continue expanding their relationship, reports suggest that some type of WWE experience aboard Disney Cruise Line could potentially make sense down the road. With Eli and Danny at the table, you know we weren't going to simply mention that idea and move on.

What would WWE at sea actually look like? Live wrestling? Legends and current stars? Meet-and-greets? Exclusive merchandise? Themed bars and drinks? And perhaps most importantly: would wrestling fans actually pay Disney Cruise Line prices for it?

This conversation went exactly where you would expect a Magic Our Way conversation to go—which is also why our original plan became a two-part show.

In Part 2, we stop evaluating Disney's ideas and start pitching our own.

What themed cruise would get YOU aboard a Disney ship?

    D23 2026: Marvel, Star Wars & Disney's Entertainment Future Part 2 | MOW 644

We're back with Part 2 of our D23 2026 Entertainment Showcase discussion!

This time we're tackling Marvel, Star Wars, streaming, television, and games, including Avengers: Doomsday, X-Men, VisionQuest, Star Wars: Starfighter, Ahsoka Season 2, Kingdom Hearts, Marvel's Wolverine, and more.

Could X-Men finally give the post-Endgame MCU its next identity? Is a new story with new characters exactly what Star Wars needs? And which D23 announcements actually made us more optimistic about Disney's entertainment future?

Then we tackle the bigger question that emerged from our two-part discussion: Does Disney really have an originality problem—or do audiences keep rewarding the sequels and franchises they claim to be tired of?

It's Marvel, Star Wars, and the future of Disney entertainment as we conclude our D23 2026 coverage!

    D23 2026: Disney's Movie Future — Sequels, Originals & Surprises Part 1 | MOW 643 Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

D23 2026 wasn't just about the future of the Disney Parks. Disney also unveiled a massive slate of movies, animation, television, and more—and there was so much to discuss that we're splitting our Entertainment Showcase coverage into two episodes!

In Part 1, we dig into Disney's upcoming movie and animation slate, including The Simpsons Movie, Lilo & Stitch 2, The Bluey Movie, Ice Age: Boiling Point, the live-action Tangled, Oswald, Incredibles 3, Coco 2, Gatto, Ghost Market, Romy & Michele 2, Frozen 3, Zootopia 3, Hexed, and Clay.

Which announcements actually got us excited? Which sequels feel justified? Which originals caught our attention? And how deep into its enormous library of characters and franchises is Disney willing to go?

Along the way, we start noticing an interesting pattern: for all the talk about Disney relying on sequels and familiar IP, both Pixar and Walt Disney Animation are still putting original movies on the slate. That raises a much bigger question we'll be coming back to soon.

And we're not finished with D23 yet! Part 2 continues with Marvel, Star Wars, streaming, games, and the rest of Disney's Entertainment Showcase.

What are your thoughts? Email us at show@magicourway.com, call or text 815-MOWICAN (669-4226), or slide into our social media DMs. Every thought and opinion will forever be welcome on this Disney fan podcast. This is show 643.

    D23 2026 Horizons: What Is Disney Actually Building? | Episode 642 Aug 19, 2026
    Show notes

D23 2026 delivered a mountain of Disney Parks news—but how much of it is actually coming, and how much is still blue sky?

On this episode of Magic Our Way, we break down the biggest reveals from the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase, including the return of Figment and Dreamfinder, changes coming to Spaceship Earth, the future of Disneyland's Tomorrowland, Villains Land, Tropical Americas, Piston Peak, Monstropolis, the Expedition Everest Yeti, and more.

But rather than simply running through a list of announcements, we're asking a bigger question: When should a Disney announcement become a promise?

To find out, we pull the receipts from D23 2022 and 2024. What did Disney announce? What actually got built? What changed along the way? And what can projects like Avengers: Infinity Defense and the long development of King Thanos teach us about Disney's five-, ten-, and even fifteen-year planning horizon?

Was Horizons 2026 filled with blue-sky ideas, or did Disney give us a glimpse at projects sitting at very different stages of development?

We discuss, debate, and decide which D23 2026 announcements we'd actually bet on becoming reality.

What are your thoughts? Email us at show@magicourway.com, call or text 815-MOWICAN (669-4226), or slide into our social media DMs. Every thought and opinion will forever be welcome on this Disney fan podcast. This is show 642.

Rachel's Walt Disney World Trip Report – New Finds, Surprises & Facepalms | Episode 641 Aug 12, 2026
    Show notes

Rachel is back from Walt Disney World! We hear about her latest trip, including Coronado Springs, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the refreshed Buzz Lightyear experience, Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, Soarin' Across America, Disney Villains, Standby Skipper, food, drinks, fireworks, and more. But did Disney's summer offerings actually deliver? Rachel shares the good, the disappointing, and the downright strange—including an Animal Kingdom that left the crew wondering whether Disney has enough to keep guests busy.

It's a trip report full of new finds, surprises, facepalms...and somehow, Kevin playing darts.

What are your thoughts? Email us at show@magicourway.com, call or text 815-MOWICAN (669-4226), or slide into our social media DMs. Every thought and opinion will forever be welcome on this Disney fan podcast. This is show 641.
