Stay ConnectedCome join Music Journalists Michael Muse and Stephanye Watts on the bi-weekly show, The Psyce.
It’s A Black music podcast spanning all genres with a sprinkling of pop culture and a shit-ton of foolishness.
The Psyce is part of the Anchor.fm Network and is published on iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, Google Podcasts, Breaker, & so much more.
It's Episode 101 and y'all already know how we coming. Fresh off our 1st ever Live show - The Cast got the chance to sit down with a living legend in this whole pop culture game. None other than Toure himself is down to the Psyce to yell with us about music journalism, his podcast - Toure's Being Black - the 80s, and everything in between. The stories he tells us are unforgettable, the perspective is top tier, and the experience was amazing. Go head and press that play button.
So much has happened since the last episode - From Muse traipsing about legend filled concerts to Steph getting the cast a handicap sticker - we need to catch up. Not to mention Beyonce's Renaissance World tour starting, Chris Brown trying to fight the industry (physically), and Rihanna and Rocky's baby's birth certificate getting leaked, the most is being done. Listen to the dolls revisit their fave albums thus far in 2023 in The Psyce's Mid Year recap. You're gonna love it!
Featured Songs:
Baby Rose - LoveBomb
Austin Millz & Sabrina Claudio - Inhale/Exhale

Muse + Steph gather behind the mics yet again to ki and cackle. Quickly running down the hottest of topics, The Met Gala is the talk of the town. Listen in as they rant, rave, and rate Fashion's biggest night. Pettiness seems to forever be on Mr. West's menu and Muse is laughing all the way to the sales. Timbaland playing with AI and the co-hosts just don't see this ending well. Also, what exactly is in the damn water? Press play and find out. The Psyce got it for that ass.
Featured Songs:
Amaria - Secrets
Amir Obe - Talk to Me Nice (ft. PARTYNEXTDOOR and G. Ry)

This episode lays into the connection between hip hop/R&B and how some of the hottest producers over the years literally HIT a whole different way when they work with singers. They all have shown us the range and it needs to be discussed.

Secure - Dinner Party (Feat. Phoelix & Tank)

Lord have mercy, Chloe treated us to a surprise for the night with this "In Pieces" album. Say what you want (and the cast always does), but the music ain't half bad. Muse + Steph's edits and critiques come from... other places. Drake has his litigation bob on thanks to ticketmaster drama turning into concert and legal dealings. Beyonce remains unbothered as she leaves one fashion project and goes to the next. And as always - Music is OUT - we keep telling y'all that. Amaka and Kaytranada may have the song of the summer on their hands... Muse says the verdict is still out depending on the performances. Either way, press play and see what the dolls have to say.
Featured Songs :
Amaka - Cruisin
Chloe - Looze U

The cast really doesn't know who is famous anymore... Do y'all? After Ki-ing through today's hottest topics (and some lukewarm ones for good measure), Muse + Steph stump themselves on MBJ's fame and that opens up Pandora's box to a shit ton of questions about who will carry the torch of superstar and who is currently a household name. Also the dolls watched that show about Beyoncé, but no spoilers here. Listen and laugh as per usual.
Featured Songs:
Mac Ayers - To Be
Alex Vaughn & Ari Lennox - Demon Time (Remix)

Muse + Steph have been concerting as a cast and its dawned on them that the ppl ain't in love like they once was. On this episode, the cast is begging the question - What music we gonna fall in love to when we approach Aunt age? Recapping the old head concerts got Steph in her bag and Muse wants to know who can even carry out that give currently? What say you? We can't 90s R&B ourselves to the grave, but we may have to. YIKES!!!! Listen and chime in. Muse with the news is full of mess and y'all got him HOT by NOT knowing Tori Kelly was a Bye Rachel. Chris Brown saves the day... well kinda, but at least he not on our nerves like Normani and Nicholas is... You're in for a jam packed episode so get ready to cackle and croon with this cast of fools. Oh and always remember, Durand Bernarr sings better than your faves.
Now Playing:
Kali Uchis - Worth The Wait (Ft. Omar Apollo)
Don Toliver - Bus Stop (Ft. Brent Faiyaz)
Go hit them follow buttons, love @thepsycepodcast
The Cast doesn't understand all of the backlash and hate towards Rihanna's Superbowl performance. Maybe y'all can help explain it to the dolls.

Kelela - Closure
Rihanna - Just Feel It
Y'all ain't following yet? @thepsycepodcast! Stop playing
The Scammies happened and "Music's biggest night" got a little weird. What is usually the cast's most beloved award show turned into quite the conundrum. Listen in as the co-hosts go off on every win and loss worth caring about. Y'all already know what it's about to give.

Beyoncé - Cuff It (Wetter Remix)
