See The Next Level
You are pushing yourself every day and I see you! I want you to know that growth and progress is happiness. Stop comparing yourself to others and start comparing yourself to what you did yesterday.
The workouts can be hard. Motivation can be lacking. But I promise you, commit to the workout and you’ll walk away feeling stronger, healthier, and happier. You may be sore. But you will conquer yourself and take a step toward your goals.
We all have a long way to go but I want you to look onto the next step and continue to push yourself. Don’t ask yourself if you are going to be in a new place, but where will you be!
Looking vs. Feeling Good: GET YOUR STRETCH ON!
As we get older, it’s important to remember that feeling good is what we are chasing! Stretching is so important. Do this stretch with me.
When you stretch, you are relieving tension in your body. It’s important to oxidize your body and let it go. I want you to remember to be patient and stay sitting in this stretch. Sit deep down into the stretch because mobility is equally as important as strength.
Do you find yourself skipping stretches at the end of a camp? Stop doing that!! Take the time to stretch, lengthen, and give your body a chance to breathe.
I urge you to commit to ONE workout per week that solely focuses on stretching. Stay tuned for more content coming your way in the world of stretching!
Smash The Scale
I am so tired of the scale. Are you? While weight is an important bio-marker, I want you to remember that it’s not just about weight. As you reduce your body fat, you will notice an abundance of changes.
I want you to thrive on intuition. What matters is how you feel. The scale can measure you weight but not your worth.
Why One Pull Up Matters
The pursuit of the goal lies in performance but not weight, right? At some point in your fitness journey, you will need performance goals to stay motivated. As we get closer to a healthy range of body fat, it’s harder to lose weight so performance goals will help drive you to succeed.
Here is my singular goal for all of my clients, it’s very simple. I want everyone to be able to do ONE unassisted pull-up. Most people cannot do it YET. But, I want you to start working towards that today.
It takes character to fight for these performance goals because you will force yourself to fail. Your response to failure will determine if you push yourself to the next level.
