We've got plant-body-horror, a full on detective drama, a woman working her way out of a cocoon, and gnarly school girls puking while subverting tropes of sexy schoolgirls, all captured with a female-gaze that would make Laura Mulvey stand up and write another essay. We also pay homage to Debra Hill, hero producer and creator of so many memorable moments in the original HALLOWEEN (1978). SPOILERS ABOUND, so don't say we didn't warn you. Grab a pumpkin, a knife, a wine, and a mask, because everyone's entitled to one good scare!
