Each week the House of Representatives is in session, Members from across America fly into Washington, D.C. to tackle the important issues facing Congress and the country.

The Fly-In, hosted by New Democrat Coalition Members Greg Landsman (OH-01) and Marc Veasey (TX-33), breaks down what the American people should know about the biggest events of the week, what New Dems and House Democrats are doing to deliver for their constituents, and how folks back home can get involved to push the policy agenda in Washington.

The Fly-In Special Edition: ACA Marketplace Patient Stephanie Bradford Discusses the Affordability Crisis Oct 30, 2025

This special edition episode includes the final segment of this week’s Fly-In: Live event, which was streamed on Wednesday, October 28th.

During this segment, co-hosts Greg Landsman (OH-01) and Marc Veasey (TX-33) were joined by New Dem Chair Brad Schneider (IL-10) and Stephanie Bradford, a Lancaster County, PA resident living with Type 1 diabetes.

Stephanie joined the podcast while visiting D.C. with Protect Our Care, an organization dedicated to educating the public and influencing healthcare policy, often by amplifying the voices of healthcare storytellers like Stephanie.

“Stephanie’s story reminds us what Democrats in Congress are fighting for,” said Protect Our Care Senior Advisor Anne Shoup. “By ripping away tax credits that make health insurance affordable for millions of Americans, the GOP is forcing hard-working people to empty their savings just to stay alive. Donald Trump and Republicans had no qualms about carving out massive tax breaks for billionaires. It’s high time they gave some relief to everyday people like Stephanie.”

Stephanie, a freelance writer, discusses the challenges of living with Type 1 diabetes while purchasing healthcare through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace. She details how her already high monthly premiums are expected to double next year if Congressional Republicans refuse to extend the ACA tax credits. The hosts and guests also talk through the affordability and access issues with the American healthcare system at large, and the work Congress must do to make healthcare available to every American.

The Fly-In Episode 21 | "Air Traffic Control" Oct 22, 2025

In Episode 21, “Air Traffic Control,” Landsman and Veasey welcome Congressman Rick Larsen (WA-02), top Democrat on the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, to discuss the damage of the ongoing Republican government shutdown on federal employees critical to air travel, namely air traffic controllers and TSA agents.

They also discuss the latest on the government shutdown and Republicans’ failure to come to the table to open up the government, and Rep. Larsen explains how air traffic control staffing shortages caused by the shutdown are creating costly flight delays around the country.

Then, the Members react to a video of DHS Secretary Krisi Noem falsely blaming Democrats for the shutdown that the Administration has tried to broadcast at airports around the country.

The Fly-In Episode 20 | "Senate Layover" Oct 17, 2025

In Episode 20, “Senate Layover” – Congressman Landsman took the podcast on the road to meet with Democratic Senators Gary Peters and Alex Padilla and hear their perspective on the government shutdown, now entering its fourth week.

Landsman and Senator Peters discuss the importance of protecting the Affordable Care Act and extending premium tax credits to keep healthcare costs low for the American people, and play a game of True or False about the shutdown and the Trump Administration’s recent activity.

Then Landsman meets with Senator Padilla to talk through the difference between the House and Senate approaches to the shutdown, and whether Speaker Johnson will end the House Republican vacation to make a shutdown-ending deal. Senator Padilla also plays a game of “Who Said It?” with quotes about the shutdown and threats to healthcare.

The Fly-In Episode 19 | "Holding Pattern" Oct 08, 2025

In Episode 19, “Holding Pattern” – Congressman Marc Veasey and guest-host Congresswoman Sara Jacobs join the pod virtually one week after the start of the Republican Shutdown, while House Republicans continue their extended vacation to block any attempts at reopening the government. Veasey and Jacobs discuss the state of play and potential path forward to end the shutdown, why Democrats are fighting to protect health care and lower costs, and what the Trump Administration has done to further harm federal workers during the shutdown.

The Members also discuss cracks forming in the Republican strategy and react to a clip of Speaker Mike Johnson lying about the Republicans’ attacks on healthcare for working families.

In Episode 17, “Course Correction” Congressmen Landsman and Veasey are joined by New Dem Member, Congressman Ed Case from Hawaii. Together, they discuss the aftermath of last week’s assassination of Charlie Kirk and how lawmakers must respond to the rise in political violence.

Rep. Case – a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee – discusses the latest developments in the effort to fund the government, and what Democratic Members expect over the next few weeks.
