Embracing Anger: Working With Your Anger As A Teacher To Help You Understand Yourself And Your Kids with Finding Flow Parenting Jul 13, 2023

In this episode, I speak to Emily Hughs a Conscious Parent Coach, Breathwork and Somatic Therapist, Ex Secondary School teacher and Mum of 2. She coaches parents (with children of all ages) to let go of what's not serving them so they can rise into inner trust and handle any parenting situation with calm sturdy confidence. Parenting can be triggering, really triggering and Emily helps parents to lean into those triggers as opportunities to learn more about ourselves. Emily works 1:1, with co-parents and with groups to help parents get intentional and consciously aware in their parenting. She uses a parent-centric, body based approach to identify the limiting beliefs, patterns, mindset and conditioning that are keeping parents stuck.

Emily and I discuss Anger in all of its forms, from postnatal rage to toddler temper tantrums and she shares her advice on how to start working on regulating these BIG emotions.

In this week's episode, I was joined by Cat Sims (@notsosmugnow), author of "The First Time You Smiled (Or Was It Just Wind?)", content creator, podcaster and mother of two.

We discussed what the Mental Load is, and her work around this, including raising awareness via her Instagram channel and the Mental Load List which she built to help her explain to her own husband exactly what this burden looks like to the default parent. (Get your copy of the list here)
