Who has had the biggest influence on your podcasting career and why?
The biggest influence on my podcasting career is two-fold. I started podcasting thanks to the Joe Rogan Experience. His show is was what got me hooked on podcast in general and motivated me to give it a shot. The 2nd biggest influencer would be the listeners. When I first started the Clock Dodgers Podcast I had no clue how it would be received. The Clock Dodger family who listen to the show are so much more than just “listeners”. The interaction, the support, the friendships, what I’ve learned, etc. all comes from them and the guest we have on. So they are the biggest current influencer that keeps this thing alive and pushes it in the direction we want it to go.
If there’s someone, past or present, that you’d love to have an opportunity to go to dinner with, who would that be and why?
Tupac. I feel he was way ahead of his time and his life was stopped way too short. His impact was massive and could have been so much more. He connected with people on a global scale through his music and any time someone can connect with so many people on such a personal level I’d love the opportunity to speak with them and help better the world.
What is it, about your audience, that continues to surprise you?
The Clock Dodger family is so diverse. Since the podcast is not niche based we have people who listen for all forms of content. Some listen for the interviews that we call “Inside Glance” episodes where the topic of discussion always varies depending on the guest. Some listen for the fantasy football episodes that we do with guest from all over the industry providing fantasy football advice/conversation. Some are fans of the solo episodes I do called “15 Minute Break” where I tell a story, rant or speak on interesting topics that come to mind. The beauty is that some listen for all 3 which is awesome to me. It’s such an honor to have Clock Dodger family from all walks of life and of different interest.
In one word, how would your best friends describe you? Why do you think that is?
Funny…because life is way better when you’re laughing!
If you had one day, completely free, away from work, no watch on, and could do whatever the hell you wanted, what would it be and why?
Be with my 3 kids and have a blast.
Anyone you’d like to thank?
